To me, Lebron is the most versatile defender since Pippen.
Of course he can't match up with all 4s/5s, but in certain situations, he can....and that's something that you can't say about 99% of the league. He's got a unique skill-set that allows him to do this.
he's definitely one of the better guys to be put into this position. can't take that away from him. He's a 6'9, damn near 300 pound, beast.
but I think the way the media/general followers of the NBA play this up so much is a bit overhyped. Scrawny *** KD guarded Marc Gasol all series in teh playoffs last year. I've seen guys in the past like Jason Kidd not be pedestrian against positions all the way up to the 4/5 in PnR situations. There are more people that can do it, Lebron is just on a team where he has to do it with some sort of consistency. Same with his "facilitating" and "passing" abilities.
But a 4 with a limited offensive skillset just gave him 43.
