The 2001 76ers were one of the worst NBA Finals team ever.

then blame that on allen iverson.

So Iverson wins the NBA MVP that year but isn't one of the best players in the NBA?

But Dirk is? Even though he lost a first round 1 vs 8 matchup that year

You cant have it both ways, you cant pick and choose who you give respect to

yeah I can its called critical thinking.

it was the most fraudulent MVP in the history of the league, Shaq was the best player. :lol

and Dirk's MVP was 100% legit.

5'10 leading your team to the finals, if that isnt the definition of mvp then idk what is

31 PPG and best record in the conference? One of the best teams in the league that year. That's not the most fraudulent MVP in the history of the league :lol by far it isn't

Hakeem dominating Shaq is one of those misnomers that won't go away.

People think if you score in a more difficult way it makes you a better player or something.

He outscored Shaq every game yes...................but look at their numbers.

Shaq had more boards, assists, steals and blocks. Hakeem shot 48%, Shaq shot 60%. Shaq did whatever he wanted in that series as well. Shaq did turn the ball over a lot. But it wasn't Shaq missing free throws in a 4 point game to start the series off either. :rolleyes

for the 01 playoff run:

shaq averaged 30.4   15.4   3.2  and 2.4 blocks

kobe averaged 29.4   7.3   6.1 and 1.6 steals

lakers went 15-1 with the only loss being an OT game

we will never see a more dominant 1-2 punch than what those two guys did that year

no, no they wouldn't have. :lol

Prime Shaq wasn't loosing to anybody from the east.
Hakeem could stop shaq. I have Greg Oden of right now stopping prime shaq.

When Hakeem start playing in the east though?

38% shooting. 30 shots a game. please.

the difference between shaq and AI is hilarious huge.

AI is normal male size and was out there beating giants. MVP of basketball. Whow as gonna stop him?
he shot under 40% for the entire playoff run

teams did a pretty good job of stopping him but when you shoot 30 shots a game you're going to score a lot of points
