2010 NFL Draft Completed! T-MINUS 362 DAY Till 2011 NFL DRAFT (1st page update w/all pick)

Any of my fellow Giants fans think Reese will trade off Osi? Like I've been saying from the beginning of the offseason, dude is a "me-first" diva type player and I dont think we need that in the locker room.

McDaniels is the dumbest thing to hit the NFL since the truck rule.

Tell Pete your opinion!

Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels should enjoy the next year or two in Denver. Really. Soak all of it in. Enjoy being a head coach. Enjoy making all the decisions.

Your days are numbered.

When you trade away Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall and Tony Scheffler, the key components in the Broncos passing game in a year span, and then draft Tim Tebow in the first round of the draft, you are sending a loud message.

Talent doesn't matter.

Character does.

Why not pick the altar boys from the parish down the street? Aren't they good kids? Or maybe you can pick all the "A" students in this draft?

It doesn't matter if they can play. Just make sure they are good "yes men."

It just doesn't make any sense.

I understand a coach wanting to have good character guys, but this is going past that.

Tebow is a fifth-round talent.

First round?

Nobody in their right mind would ever say that Tebow plays the position better than Cutler. But Cutler was shipped out for being a bad boy.

Now they have Saint Timmy to fix things.

Here's a bet: He doesn't even beat out Brady Quinn.

He makes Quinn and Kyle Orton, the other quarterback, look like John Elway.

Tebow is raw. He doesn't understand the passing game. He doesn't read defenses.

Oh, but he's a good kid.

At least he'll save the locker room.

Really? If you aren't playing, character doesn't matter. The NFL is a cruel business. His rah-rah crap doesn't matter. They won't listen. They won't stand for it.

Crying after losses?

Yeah, right.

Does he work hard? Yes. Does he want to be good? Yes.

But the skills aren't there. He isn't close to being as good as Jimmy Clausen. Too bad for Jimmy he doesn't have the character Tebow has, at least that's what they say.

The Broncos reached big time for Tebow. But look at the bright side: At least he won't be running the streets.

He also won't be starting anytime soon -- if ever.

And Josh McDaniels will lose his job in a year or two over this one and his other moves over the past year.

Yeah how could I question the holy rotten tuna, he only picked superstars like Pat White and Patrick Turner.

Outta here with that

It's not sexy, but he added a second rounder, got a nice young DT to put in there to protect our money signing in Dansby, he's added Marshall, we get some improvement outta Smith and Davis on the corners, solidify the middle with this pick and Dansy, and now get back a high 2nd.   That's not terrible at all.  Hang in there man, he's doin ok so far.  I wish for a little better, but still not bad.

It's just mighty frustrating dude. He makes a brilliant move, followed by a craptastic one.

Um, really? Craptastic? the DT pick was craptastic? Please. You have NO idea what it's like to have a GM make a craptastic move.

Parcells has been more than solid in his what? 2 year? Don't forget who drafted Henne too.

As a Chiefs fan, this is how I feel about the Broncos taking Tebow. That's funny in itself, but the fact that they traded a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for him....God I love Josh McDaniels. He's the best player on our team (behind Jamaal....oh and now Eric Berry)

@ this.

the funny part is if its such due dilligence by teams in the league to protect their investment then  why did only ONE team ask that question.... if it was such a need to know deal, Only ONE team asked...  Yea rite, that was just an over zealous exec abusing his authority and knowing he was in a position of power. he knows damn well  if he asked someone else that in any other circumstance or setting he'd be picking up his teeth

Ill repeat
None of yall don't know the process and have NO Clue.

The problem is you don't have a clue and I will tell you why.

Because no one has even brought up the process.

To understand why the question was asked, you need to understand the mentality that it takes to work in a front office for a major professional sports team.

Which you don't.

You think this one team cares about your feelings? No.  You think they care that this question is ethical? No.  Do you think they care about Dez Bryants' feelings? No.

Am I defending the question? No.  Do I understand why it was asked? yes.

So go unbunch your panties, because you've already had a long night seeing Dez slip and fall to the mid 20's.

For all we know Dez Bryant can be lying.  You know, he is a compulsive liar.
laugh.gif
, sorry you don't get a rep for being late and being a diva just for being late to a meeting ONE time....
roll.gif

Just to add.  NFL contracts are not worth the paper they are written on, but those signing bonuses are.  Why do you think the Lions went through so much trouble to get their money back from Charles Rogers.

Yea rite, that was just an over zealous exec abusing his authority and knowing he was in a position of power. he knows damn well  if he asked someone else that in any other circumstance or setting he'd be picking up his teeth
Yeah, but this isn't any other circumstance.  Dez himself knew that if he wanted to play a down in the NFL, he would have to shut his mouth and answer the question.

This isn't "any other circumstance".

The question was asked, get over it, stop crying.  I'm sure Jerry is going to write him a fat check so Dez can forget about this whole "process".

So shhhhhhhhy.... Not only did you give away our 2nd which we heavily needed for Dline...you gave away our most promising ILB...Burnett is straight but dobbins had more upside, coopers alright but for how much longer? We're screwed up the middle now, from the line to lb's
