2009 football/soccer summer transfer rumors

Anyone out there pay the monthly fee for Setanta. I am thinking about switching to Directv if my complex will allow it and possibly getting this. I have FSCnow and it seems most of the Arsenal games always end up on Setanta and overall the biggest EPL games usually end up on there. Also other Champions Leaguegames as well which is nice because I usually don't want to watch the one that is shown on ESPN. Just trying to see if it is worth it.

I heard Barry is getting paid 90,000 pounds a week at City.

really weird that barry goes to man city but i dont think he would be playing first team liverpool

I dont see whats so weird about Barry going to Man City...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Also, if Man City keep spending money like they've done over the past year, they'll probably find themselves playing in the UCL or Europa League in the2010/11 season.

Yeah, I check the site sometimes. Usually what I post here, I gather from direct sources like Cadena SER, AS, Marca. Allows me to practice my Spanish and Italian. I remain optimistic. I'm just reminded of when we practically had Patrick Vieira and the deal fell apart because of personal terms. Side Lowe on BBC radio seems to believe its a done deal. Remember, Jose Ramon de la Morena predicted Thursday was the presentation day.

Oh just wanted to know since its a great forum to discuss everything on Real Madrid with fellow Madridistas. Yeah Jose Ramon de la Morena seems very reliableas he predicted that Pelligrini would be announced Tuesday followed by Kaka Thursday, but he didn't see Chelsea intervention and Bosco's greedinessgetting in the way. Various reports indicate that Monday will be the official confirmation as European Elections will be over. Berlusconi seems to beprotecting his reputation and doesn't want this transfer to lose him votes, so its a matter of time now.

Yesterday, the Madrid press focused on David Silva and his potential signing. Tomorrow, Marca has Franck Ribery as the covery story lol.. Also on the cover..Madrid place a 25 million Euro limit on Villa and 20 million Euro limit on Silva..I don't know what they base those figures on but I'd say 35m (Villa)and 23-25 (Silva) are safer bets. I'm sure foreign clubs can and will offer more but the players have admitted their preference to stay in Spain. Inaddition, Vicente Soriano resigned as Valencia Chairman. The will ease negotiations in the media's eyes.

If hes sold, Huntelaar would fetch 20m Euro (at least 17m) or so. A price similiar to the one Madrid paid for him. He has done well enough but he was a lastditch Calderon/Mijatovic signing. He may not be in Florentino's plans.

I don't mind Huntelaar but I think David Villa or even Karim Benzema would suit our style moreso than the Dutchman.

I don't mind Huntelaar but I think David Villa or even Karim Benzema would suit our style moreso than the Dutchman.

i didn't really follow the premiership this season but in the one game i saw aston villa play, ashley young was definitely a standout player. i know it wasjust one game that i saw, but dude was nice and convinced me that he would play for a big club some day and now chelsea and real are interested in him.
