On the Portland team in 2000 - 01 he came back to fill a spot on the roster due several injuries and when everyone came back he would re-retire.
Well, he saw how good the team was and took back his part of the deal and totally threw off the rotation of players.

Of course KingJay69 condone snitching but not players shoulder shrugging the hate from old heads. I wouldn't expect you to see the difference but it's very clear. There's legitimately been three instances (Nash, Malone, Shaq) just this week of them criticizing young players that are doing their thing.

Not wanting someone to talk bs about you isn't being soft. Being soft would be just allowing it. I'm glad Trae publicly said Nash aint know what he was talking about and then went right back to doing what he was doing before. Nash don't like it he can cry about it to himself.

They’d be fine. Because of the 24-hour news cycle and social media, today’s players are subject to a level of scrutiny and criticism the players in the 80s and 90s never were. In many respects, it’s harder now to be a pro athlete (or anyone famous for that matter).

their opinions are hatin *** opinions borne out of jealousy and the prospect of losing relevance. from shaq hatin on dwight, to javale, to embiid, to gobert and on and on, it's corny. it's not like the young generation talks down to the old generation either. majority of the time it's some form of paying homage, "appreciate y'all paving the way" etc etc. shaq just hatin on folks unprovoked.
goes both ways. 80s and 90s players may not be able to cope if they played today. all the dirt they were doing in their spare time ain't the same in 2021 when everyone in the room got at least 1 camera phone in their pocket. MJ hated the scrutiny he got for privately hitting a casino the night before a playoff game. now imagine everyone in the casino huddled around with camera phones, TMZ rushing to the scene etc. Not even going to start with Shaq's sensitive ***. Dude legit wants to fight Chuck every time Chuck says Shaq rode Kobe and Wade's coattails. Dude would fold if he woke up to IG clips of skip bayless saying that every single day.
