Damny Ainge got to game 7 of the ECF in 2020 with zero impact bigs on the roster and thought to himself by bringing in Tristan Thompson it would be enough to get them over the hump....while completely failing to realize other teams in the East and West conferences would be making huge roster upgrades in the off season in order to get e leg up on the competition.
Meanwhile Gordon Hayward is flourishing in Charlotte and is looking like an All-Star again
No wonder the Celtics organization has found it very hard to win titles in the last 35 years...their front office and coaching staff don't know what they're doing.

How is Randle doing? obviously the stats are great but that's never been his problem. Has he finally learned to pick his spots, or is he still going at 100mph all the time?

There was a tweet posted a few days ago that Brown & Tatum were the highest scoring duo since Kobe & Shaq or some ****.
They were doing that because the team is thin beyond those two, especially with Kemba out. They really have no business having the record they have.
Tatum was out today. Kemba’s first game back so there’s obviously rust. First quarter of the game, Jaylen let Kemba operate & didn’t shoot until half the quarter was gone and Boston had only scored 7 points
Jaylen eventually got going & did his job but they’re thin right now.

Hayward is doing well because he's not 3rd or 4th in the pecking any more. He never had an identity with the Celtics.
