Isn't Joker the runaway favorite for MVP right now with his squad teetering in that area?

Unless I missed something OKC been in the West when Russ was doing most of his damage. Competition was better a few years ago as well.

If we can celebrate production from an elite player that has his team in 9th place right now or last year praise a guy who led the league in scoring on a team that won 20 outta 57 games when he played, why the hell can't Russ be acknowledged and celebrated for the work he's putting in?

That's why I say dudes pick and choose based on who they like and don't like as a player.

idk anyone that hasn’t celebrated RW. The man averaged a triple double 4x in his career. That’s impressive af, no matter who’s on the team

I’m just saying, when it’s all said and done, people will look at his stats and wonder WTH happened.

Have we seen a former MVP get this much disrespect!!! You know how hard that is to avg what he did for a whole season?!! If it was so easy why hasn’t anyone else done it besides Oscar stop it!! That Squad after KD left and the current Wizards are Basuraaaa and y’all know it

Only on NikeTalk can you be accused of not like a man after saying you have no issues with a man, call him one of the best of all-time at his job, praise his community efforts, say he has a beautiful family and crown him as a champion of life. I don’t know what you want me to say, man.

By this logic then maybe the Wizards weren’t actually trash last year. If Trump would have reacted the way a competent leader would to COVID then maybe the season wouldn’t have gotten canceled when it did. The Wizards were 24-41 at the time of the hiatus and were coming off a win. There’s no way to know that they wouldn’t have gone on a 17-game win streak and finished .500 if COVID was addressed immediately and they had been allowed to play all 82 games as originally scheduled.

If Russ doesn’t get the Wizards to .500 then we have to look at this season as a complete failure.

Your logic is ridiculous man. The Wizards were 20-37 WITH Bradley Beal last season before he didn't go to the bubble that's a (.350 winning percentage). Russ already has them ahead of that pace right now but they may finish with a lower seed than last season cause the East is better. Wizards ended up being a 9 seed with only 25 wins last year. They're at 23 already but in 12th place. This season will be more of an direct comparison since they'll end up playing the same amount of games as last season.

Wizards also had $40M sitting on the sidelines every night with Wall last season. Not exactly a fair comparison.

They have 40 million worth of washed, detrimental loser trash out there now who's actively making the team worse according to the NT experts so I think it's fair.

if we are going to follow that triple-double argument as the ends to all means, you have to think the logic on how badly Javale McGee's wanted that triple double accomplishment despite losing.

Alright, man. You’re out here using combinatorics and machine learning with Russ’ stats and win-loss records to prove your point yet discredit and in some cases flat out reject any other numbers or extrapolations presented against him. You got it.

Not at all these are simple and easy to understand numbers that are easy to get over and over. I've been doing it for years. Again y'all shouldn't have tried to use this Wizards year as a flex point cause it is an outlier. And be more consistent going forward with your praise of numbers regardless of record and I'll back off. It's easy to knock down these frivolous arguments.
