who's available that would put the dubs over the top?
i don't think harden put the dubs on his list earlier this season before the nets made the move

Yeah there’s no anthony Davis on the market but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t make moves to help the roster improve during Steph’s prime.

It’s not on us to find the players. They get paid good money to GM the squad. Go make some ******* improvements.

It’s like what the lakers did with bron in his first year in LA. You can’t develop young guys when you have a top all time talent on your team. It’s a waste of talent.
Obviously there is no Anthony Davis available in the market for the warriors (and no Klutch connection :nerd: ) but they’re really more focused on 5-10 years down the road over maximizing Steph’s prime. **** is outrageous.
I totally agree. The Warriors botched this season trying to play suboptimal lineups that helped young guys grow but cost them games. In my opinion, the Warriors should package Wiseman, Wolves pick (If they get it) and Wiggins for another star. This season has shown me that the Warriors aren't just a Klay Thompson away from competing. If they truly want to maximize the rest of Steph's prime, they need to flip the young guys.

I generally agree with the crux of the argument both you are making but IMO without Klay, even if they did already flip Wiseman/MIN Pick/Wiggins, getting a higher seed this year would have meant nothing except for a first, maybe second round exit if they were lucky. I get it was Steph's prime but there's nothing they could have done this year to be truly competitive. Might as well see what you have with the young guys so you know who stays and goes when it's time to make a run for 2021-2022.

I disagree man. There’s no clear cut favorite this year.

Lakers and Nets are entirely dependent on being healthy.

The clippers look really good (Batum, Mann and Rondo are clear upgrades on Trezz and Lou) but they need to prove it in the playoffs.

One injury and the warriors are right back in the finals.
Steph is that level player in my eyes. They didn’t even give him a fighting chance. Murray just went down. I think the warriors with more vets could easily take down Utah, Phoenix, Denver, Portland, etc.

the only teams I think they wouldn’t be able to beat are Lakers, Clippers, Nets and maybe the sixers/bucks. But you only have to play one of the lakers/clippers in the wcf. You only have to play 1 of Nets/sixers/bucks in the finals. Do we forget the raptors winning the title because Klay and KD went down already?

We can say they weren’t going to win anyway so why even try but that’s a lame *** mindset. Raptors wouldn’t have won that ring if they said the warriors have Klay/KD/Steph/Dray, why should we even try trading for Kawhi?

No Drummond, Schroeder or Morris tonight for the lakers.

🎶"AD is on the way" 🎶

Lakers are punting this game tonight. Missing 4 starters tonight.

No AD, no LeBron, no Shroeder, no Drummond, no Morris.

^^^ Definitely expect to see more contending teams basically conceding games - especially second night of B2Bs - by sitting star players. Bet the Murray injury has teams a little spooked.

I hear you. I really do. I think another important element to considered which y'all already kind of touched on is that a worthwhile trade package might not have been on the table. This isn't what you want to hear as a fan, and certainly not as a player, but as a GM I would be okay trying to develop and evaluate my young guys rather than make a suboptimal trade to fight for a 6-seed. I wouldn't turn down a trade, I just wouldn't force it. I think they'll be better positioned to make a move come the offseason

You’re 100% right. If there was a AD/Kawhi level player available for trade, they had the assets to put together an intriguing package. Unfortunately that player never presented himself. They probably hoped Giannis or Embiid would demand a trade :lol

I do think they had a better package for Harden than the Nets did. Harden was playing at a mvp level this year. I know Kerr doesn’t like his game but they didn’t even ask about acquiring him.

I mean let’s take it back to the draft. If they took LaMelo over Wiseman, they’d have one of the best trade assets in the league. LaMelo got ranked 3 in that dumbass espn under 25 year old trade asset list :lol Think about what LaMelo could get in the open market vs what wiseman is worth right now.

These guys get paid millions to be general managers. Make some moves to improve the roster!!! It doesn’t have to be a home run superstar. Anything is better than punting the year and developing your trash *** prospects during Steph’s prime.

If there's one thing I've learned with NBA transactions, it's that there always deals to be made that's beyond the scope of even the most dedicated NBA fan.

It's really not just for this year though. it should be a buildup towards next year where Klay is expected to come back. I'd argue a 2nd overall pick on draft night has immense value and that was a good time to strike if they really believe they could squeeze another title from that core.

Trading Wiseman in the offseason after a season ending injury?, not so much.
