Irregular heartbeat is something that cant be “fixed”? Sucks for LMA, but good for him putting himself first. Rather see him make a statement like that than have him collapse on the court.

There are things that can be done to try and control it - having a pacemaker implanted, meds, etc. But I don’t think anything that would guarantee he could safety continue to play in NBA games with no risk of collapsing.

Some of yall thought I was asking too much
His own fans were definitely saying this was unreasonable I remember
They wanna say that WE don't appreciate him but his stans don't eem believe he can level up and stay there leading his squad. Wild stuff.

Given who made the assertion in the post that BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE quoted, it’s not unfathomable that a lot of users felt it was posted in bad faith and as satire. I mean, it ends with “If not don't mention him with the GOATs”. If Steph doesn’t do it, he can argue Steph isn’t a GOAT. If Steph does it, he can beat his chest as being right. He wins either way.

It was a trap.

I want to see what kind of year Steph has. These kinda seasons with less than perfect conditions can define a player
Legacy defining season for Steph. All the goats have went dummy and carried rosters like his to a playoff berth at minimum

People had low expectations for Steph this year for whatever reason. I just didn't. Would've been disappointed if he did anything less where others would've gave him a pass

The way that some of y'all be coming in here after every Wardell performance makes that a bit hard to believe. Y'all seem to be in shock that he's able to do this or just like being sarcastic saying he should do more. Nah that's what some of us been saying from the get go. He has the talent, do it more consistently and the team is going to win. Period. Y'all been trying to give him a pass for a minute.

BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE
I was dead damn wrong and I admit it
Leave me alone BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE I already said I was wrong

I was wrong about how Steph would look this season but I was right about the Warriors being bad

This is fair. I know that I probably read that post on December 22nd and thought you were trolling and I believe others might have as well based on reactions but I now see you were serious and I respect the explanation.

A pass for what? This team is garbage and they’ve tricked off a few games because of Kerr’s late subs in the 4th. I don’t think it was absurd for people to think he might not have a brazy year considering he was playing in a Kerr system missing most of the pieces to make a Kerr system successful. He’s proved the world wrong.

Proved the world wrong? I wouldn't go that far at all.

They're 5 games over .500 when Steph plays that's an 8 seed. Quite a few of y'all had much more lofty expectations for him than that coming into the season.

I was one of those people who questioned Steph going into the season. I'll give him credit, he's played better than I expected him to. I thought he would struggle individually more under the stress of having to carry a team with no Durant, Klay, and Draymond being washed. He's played even better than I thought he would, I underestimated how awful the rest of their roster would be.

If the warriors management could pick between developing young guys or going all in with Steph, Dray and vets, they’d have a higher seed.

Blame warriors management for Steph only being in play in game range. Steph could easily do what Harden did with the rockets it warriors management backed him.

It’s like what the lakers did with bron in his first year in LA. You can’t develop young guys when you have a top all time talent on your team. It’s a waste of talent.
Obviously there is no Anthony Davis available in the market for the warriors (and no Klutch connection 8o ) but they’re really more focused on 5-10 years down the road over maximizing Steph’s prime. **** is outrageous.

I totally agree. The Warriors botched this season trying to play suboptimal lineups that helped young guys grow but cost them games. In my opinion, the Warriors should package Wiseman, Wolves pick (If they get it) and Wiggins for another star. This season has shown me that the Warriors aren't just a Klay Thompson away from competing. If they truly want to maximize the rest of Steph's prime, they need to flip the young guys.

They'd be doing an all-time great player a disservice by not going all in. Steph doesn't deserve to end his career on middling teams. Unfortunately, I don't think He has that LeBron in him to go to management and say "trade these guys and upgrade this roster or else"
