Wonder what our CL win percentage is with Luka Modric. Specifically when up by 3 goals on aggregate.
Honestly though that is actually a potentially telling stat. Shows that Kroos Modric and fullbacks that don’t care to defend 38 matches a season (particularly Marcelo) in la liga get exploited easily on defense. La liga sides have known for a long time just sprint down the wing against us and you have a chance. Zizou needs to balance things and more players need to play both sides. Bale and Hazard when needed to have been good at this so far this season.
Players like Fede Valverde and Odegaard excite me for this prospect though since both dig in on defense and cover a lot of ground. Fit the more modern mold.
