Barca should roll Espanyol in the cup derby today... I like Sanchez Flores though. Solid manager. Glad he didn't take that crap Stoke job... Interestingly, he was rivals with Mark Hughes when he was a RB at Valencia & Hughes was a striker at Barca... Flores said he hated playing against Hughes because he was so physical & rough. Hughes had a funny quote about it, "I used to enjoy shoulder-charging full-backs into Row Z, so he probably remembers that.”
As a manager, Flores took Valencia into the CL twice (bringing in the likes of David Villa, Patrick Kluivert, Raul Albiol, Joaquin, Asier del Horno, & Fernando Morientes. Flores also won the Europa League with Atleti (in '10?). He also had Watford playing well for a period to. He's flexible tactically too. Instead of applying a system he likesto run, he lets the players he has dictate what he wants to do..
Flores is one of the best dressed managers in Europe too.. I hope he gets a shot at a big club...
