Simple question, is Arthur good?

Rumors that Juve has officially sent their offer

Simple question, is Arthur good?
The jury’s out on that question. He wasn’t in Gremio’s starting 11 until the 2017 Copa Libertadores which was his coming out party. His play was decisive in Gremio’s run through it & then winning it.

His strengths are his speed & his passing. He’s very hard to take the ball away from & he’s always ready to get the ball back & get forward.

Tite had him play some WC qualifiers but he wasn’t a regular. So having said all that, not sure if he’s ready for the big step up & I don’t trust pep segura & roberto fernandez who scouted him...

Would’ve much rather had Lyon’s Houssem Aoua...

Edit - I highly doubt Arthur can come in & contribute right away. We all know for every Brazilian that does well when they get to Europe, there’s 6-7 of them that flame out spectacularly.

Crazy to think Ronnie might really be leaving & of all teams Juve. Like how did they come into the picture?!?!

Man I used to have this Brazilian channel SporTV that had all the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A & B along with the Copa Libertadores. Had it for damn near 15 yrs with my foreign language channels which I got for watching footy...

Then they changed it to a subscription channel called Premiere FC... I haven’t watched a lot of the Serie A games unless it was someone like Vinicius or Rodrygo but it was my go to for Copa games...

barca are def buying arthur on potential because thats all he is right now. i've watched some of his bigger matches and he was fantastic.
doesn't lose the ball, great dribbler, and his strength is his passing. one thing i do like about this kid though is he's physically strong.
we'll see how he fares against top talent but also with top talent surrounding him.

i'd much rather have de jong or aouar though but hopefully im wrong.
de jong is the truth. no point in waiting another summer. get him now.

We've finally reached the all important 'next 48 hours' phase in the saga...

Yup, soon enough we'll be hearing about how the deal broke down because Florentino Perez tried to increase CR7's fee by another 50 million because Juventus's president did not point him in the right direction when he asked where the bathroom was.

Silly evening round up:

Welp

Apparently Roman has problems with the British government and Chelsea can't pay for transfers at the moment as a result. Supposedly Dortmund are gonna try to take advantage and hijack Seri

Carlo and Napoli are gonna bid for Benz according to reports in Italy

:rofl::rofl:

I'm still surprised that Juve can afford his wages

At the protest of their factory workers world wide, fiat is paying a bulk of, if not all of Ronnie’s wages while Juve pays the transfer fee. fiat factory workers haven’t had a raise in just over 10 yrs & have seen their benefits greatly reduced bcs of fiat’s dropping sales across the board with all their cars inciuding the American ones like Chrysler.

As a Barca fan, this really sucks bcs if Benz & Ronnie go, Perez gonna drop cash like no other while Barca haggle with Sevilla for Lenglet‘s €35m release clause... :smh:

barca released a dope mini documentary about dembele growing up in his old hood in france. really well done :smokin
"people talk about or hoods as if it's a disadvantage but we see it as a strength. and beautiful things come out of those places. this is what makes france what it is today. and that's why you find those why you find those people in the france NT."

is Lenglet‘s worth the pricetag? Saw United linked to him if Spurs don't budge on Toby price tag. Crazy how we can madrid winning a 3rd straight to losing coach, cr7 and Benz in same summer.

im happy with the lenglet signing. don't know what's taking so damn long for barca to pay a 35 million release. our board insists on being stingy af.
im hoping ronnie stays at real madrid. eat up salary
madrid gonna have to drop the biggest bag for a replacement striker

In this market, that price is reasonable. Lenglet is a fast & physical defender who passes well. Gets up for the big games too. The problem is he’s one of this new breed of young defenders that fouls waaaay too often so much so that it can kill a team’s momentum. I’d really like if the team got RB Leipzig’s Upamecano. He’s pretty much the perfect CB & left footed. He should be on eveyone’s radar.

Is there a consensus here that Neymar is definitely the third best player in the world? And who rounds out the top 5?

Imo Modric could be considered #3 and if not 4. My brother has KDB ahead of Luka though. There are also a ton of others in the mix. And if Neymar is definitely third, do people think Neymar is closer to Messi/CR7, or whoever they have 4th/5th?

Lanniestrinho is definitely no longer in that class IMO. Mbappé has taken his spot firmly.

It’s arguable for sure but I’d have to rank Modric ahead of KdB. Modric almost never fails to come up big in big games & he’s accomplished so much (trophy haul is insane).

Not sure where to rank but I like Hazard, Isco, Salah too. Arry should be in the mix too. He plays for an absolutely crappy *** manager but Pogba is in there for me too. #FreePogba #FreePaulDaOctopus #RunJoseOut #JoseOut #DotardOut #KickHis***Out
