Not only did PSG spend money on the flashy player, they spent money on the flashy player that has no leadership qualities. And on top of that, they took a dump on Cavani who could actually provide some leadership. Took the reins from a man and handed them over to a child.

Also, I hope M'Bappe dips from PSG soon. I'm a huge fan of the kid, and hate to see his potential be wasted at a club with no substance. As much as I dislike Real Madrid, and as much as it would hurt to see him there, I wouldn't wish him anything but the best and would love to see him have a long and successful career. (Of course he can have that at other great clubs as well :nerd: )

I personally believe PSGs demise was on Emery in the 1st leg. On paper this looked like a club that could of went toe to toe but Draxler, ADM, Muenier, Silva didnt get their fair share to help PSG win.

Tbh, Trap wouldnt of been any better than Arriola too.

Emery just needs to go. Only question is who do they go after? I'm sure France is just as boring for mangers as it is for players. Especially if you mange to the best team in the league

Forsure Emery is getting the sack.. wonder if they will even wait.

League is perfect for Mou, whenever he does move on.

mourinho is allergic to pressing and playing further up field.
united have an extremely fast, athletic, strong, and tall team thats physically imposing but instead of putting teams under constant pressure he'd rather them sit and set up the bus
team would be exciting as hell to watch under different management.
united should be winning the ball further up field and suffocating teams.

even atletico madrid has started their pressing further up and it has done wonders after their initial limp in to the season.

Fair points, but this reads as if we have all 10 outfield players sitting behind the ball in our own half which is not the case. We had 70% possession yesterday, we only sit back against the top clubs away from home. We defend up the pitch but don’t employ a relentless press. There are times where we do close down players but we rarely press as a collective. The issue with us comes when we actually have the ball. Jose doesn’t have a philosophy going forward. He basically depends on moments of individual brilliance from his players or capitalizing on errors from the opposing side. That’s why we look so disjointed when we have the ball. There’s no attack patterns when we have the ball besides the occasional overlapping run from a FB or a one two while everyone else stands still.

We’ve gone from one extreme with LVG having everything in the final third choreographed to the other where Mou just allows the forwards to do them in attack. Would love if we pressed more but I’m fine with this as long as he keeps delivering trophies.

Sure, send a mediocrity of a coach to coach a mediocrity of a team, in a mediocrity of a league.
Mediocrity of a coach who has won everything in the game. And can navigate knock out tourneys. He’s getting out coached by pep but so has the rest of the world. Mourinho still top 5 managers, regardless of recent opinions. His style doesn’t appeal to most but it’s effective.

Of course a United fan is out here caping for his has been of a manager that has them playing lethargically and just beating lower tier teams. Gotcha.

I could say “of course another Barca fan who hates Mou” but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

I’m not going to be naive and say Mou employs the prettiest style but he has proven it to be effective. He demands a ton from his players but if they buy in, follow his defensive philosophy and then express themselves going forward, we’ve seen the results it can bring in the form of CL trophies. The funny thing is, everyone loves to critique this United squad and note the flaws in the roster, yet these tend to be the types of teams that Mou is able to get the most out of in terms of results.

And btw, United has beaten Chelsea, Tottenham, and Arsenal this year while drawing on the road at anfield so it’s not just the bottom teams that they’ve beaten. It hasn’t always been pretty, but they’ve gotten the job done far more often than not.

Mou's tactics are beyond outdated, and fails to play his players to their strengths since his head is stuck in the dirt. When is the last time that Mou won a CL? Has one of his teams at least been close or a legitimate contender (since we know that competition is difficult to win)?

And I know you didn't just bring up beating Arsenal, I can post videos from AFTV from their humiliating season for laughs. Spurs have also beaten Man U this season. Chelsea, they're having a terrible season where it feels like mutiny is about to occur, not to mention they still beat y'all earlier in the season (no worries, Barca will take care of them in the CL). What about your draw at Stoke? The elite team known as Huddersfield was able to pull out a fantastic victory! City showed y'all what color Manchester is. Heggsy, Burnley, Southampton have managed to draw, by God what strong competition there. Newcastle with the W, and didn't y'all just barely squeak a W against Crystal Palace this past week? But yeah, y'all certainly are doing y'all thing...

Who hurt you? Sheesh lol we make one comment that maybe our manager isn’t the worst in history and it made you go dig up literally our entire PL schedule on the year

You’re right, we’ve lost to a couple of poor sides this year. Drawn with a couple more poor sides. But also beaten 3 of the other top 5 teams with three still left to play again. Sure arsenal is terrible and Chelsea isn’t great, but they just tied with Barca the same week United beat them.

I expect Barca to take care of business in the second leg but cmon fam, looking up every single game from a season feels a little desperate. Every team draws and loses, even Barca has drawn 6 times in the league this year when they’re far and away the top team in La Liga.

far from caping for him, just being honest. His style doesn't even appeal to me but I'm not gonna act like he wouldn't be an improvement on the likes of Emery.

Say what you want but EPL has arguably the best managers in the world and Mourinho has United 2nd. This whole "only beating lower league teams" is such a mute point. We face the same teams as everyone else, speaks more to their inability to beat those same teams if anything.

if I was emery I would have taken di maria off after 30 minutes, was teeeeeeeeeeeeeerrible

The odds were against Emery in this one. I do think he blew leg one with the terrible subs. Zidane made the better moves in leg one. If PSG had any hope in the second leg it was neymar. But when he got hurt i think most people knew it was a huge uphill battle.

The dotard is definitely not top 5... There is nothing that happens on the pitch for his team that warrants that type of consideration. They don't look like they're adequately prepared from week to week.

Filthy... :smokin

mourinho isn't in my top 10

united being 2nd is misleading cause city lead by 16 pts.
so being 2nd is a minute point if you aren't challenging.

I stumbled upon this show in Netflix...and after two episodes I'm hooked :lol. It's pretty much a Ballers meets Degrassi :lol

Top 5? Is that a joke? Guardiola, Simeone, Zidane, Conte, and Poch are all better managers than Mourinho at the moment.
