mou's teams collapsing always makes for great news
hope he goes to PSG after emery gets fired

Last young keeper I'd like to bring up is Mile Svilar. Certainly has the pedigree, his father was a keeper as well, representing Yugoslavia in the '82 WC. The younger Svilar was an Anderlecht academy product and left for Benfica under tendentious terms. Matic actually personally recommended the move, an ambitious one at the time. Svilar owns the title of youngest GK to play in CL, once held by "San Iker." He's probably the riskiest gamble compared to Lafont and Farinez. Svilar plays the keeper position extremely aggressively, truly unafraid to come off his line, although the downside of this bold style is the error he made against United in CL which ultimately cost Benfica the match. Mourinho raved about Mile Svilar even after the blunder transpired. Some of the Belgian media have dubbed him "the new Courtois," which I find to be embellishing. Svilar hasn't quite displayed the level of quality Courtois showed from a similar age at Genk and Atleti. Plus the two keepers have contrasting styles in net. Svilar publicly models his game after Manuel Neuer in the sweeper-keeper mold. He was also privileged to learn from Julio Cesar during the '17 campaign. Bruno Varela has been starting in goal even after Benfica sold Ederson in the summer, but greats like Jean-Marie Pfaff remain steadfast in their endorsement of Mile Svilar.

Paris really turned Veratti out

Svilar was impressive in the 2 games against United especially after that error,so much so that Mou and DDG went up to him and praised him afterwards. He looked confident beyind his age in the CL,definitely one to look out for in the future

Isco probably made dude rethink his whole life after that masterclass against him

What a save by Adrian on Salah, looked like a goal when he shot it

That shot by Arnautovich :wow::wow:

Would've been a golazo of the year candidate had Karius not gotten something on it

Remember Svilar saving a Martial pen at Old Trafford. Like you said, aside from the costly mistake that led to Rashford's goal, Svilar looked impressive overall. He plays in net with a certain boldness, maybe even borderline brashness. For a young kid, he possesses a commendable amount of leadership ability and mental toughness. You get the impression Mile Svilar relishes pressure and big moments, while fearlessly directing his defence.

What happened to Joe Gomez? Haven't seen dude play in a minute it feels like
False news. Mans played in our previous leaue game and came off for someone else. We happen to have an abundance of young full backs who are pretty good.

Somehow Jack Butland didn't have the funniest keeper blunder of the day. Behold from Bundesliga 2 :rofl::rofl:

Almost thought that was Ingolstadt who conceded...was gonna say didnt know life was that rough after relegation from the Bundesliga lol

Gotta get Solanke some burn. Has he played recently?

I know it’s gotta to be hard to crack a spot in that front 3

Feels like Arnold and Robertson have been Klopps preferred starters lately, guess it's just felt that long since the last league game

Gomez can play at CB too though no?

Agreed with everything said which is crazy since he's still just 18. Can only imagine how good he'll look in a few years if he already has the composure and commanding prescience of a veteran between the sticks

Pools young fullbacks giving that keeper hell with those crosses aiming for top bins

Edit- Can going for the highlight reel

He was given ample chances early to mid season, but hasn't looked that good. I'd like to give Ings more burn and Solanke should go out on loan.

Mad Spicy FC, that might of to be the new thread title
Got some good news to share. I'm too lazy to type it out so I'll just link my twitter

I've been on medical leave for the time being, so it's def one reason I've been more on top of this thread
