Yeah, France is deepest. That locker room is like a cabaret, though. Internal issues are holding them back.
The French NT and internal drama go together like La Roja and passing teams to death

Swear they've had more instances of controversy and drama at major tourneys than peace since I've been alive. The times they actually get along they usually win or go deep :lol

I remember when it was a big deal when the Hernandez brothers were deciding between Spain & France, Theo should play for Spain, there's less competition at LB.
Deschamps should've called up Theo ahead of the likes of Lenglet, Dubois and Rabiot as a wingback :smh:

Mendy too

Deschamps should've called up Theo instead of the likes of Lenglet and Rabiot :smh:
And Pavard the whole tournament

I do think Rabiot is turning into a decent player, but you can't have him around if his mom is starting ****.

Outside of that goal against Argentina, I don't get how he's the unquestioned first choice :smh:

DD's boy though for that Gaulois quota.

Rabiot is decent at his position but no way should he get stuck out at wingback during a high profile knockout match :smh:

Hope the likes of Theo, Upamecano, Fofana, Konate etc start getting integrated in the NT picture more before the next world cup. They need fresh blood in that backline.

They messed around and fumbled Laporte when he would've been their best defender this year, hope they don't mess around with this coming crop of talent

Yep. Remember i think casemiro saying when he was younger he decided to play cdm bcz as an attacker he wouldnt made it for Brazil.

“"When I went to the trial at Sau Paulo I was a forward. I was pretty strong, I was always the tallest player at that age and I used to score a lot of goals with my head.

When I turned up, I was about 12 or 13 years old, there were about 300 players there and they were only going to choose 50. I remember very well that when the coach asked who were goalkeepers, three people put up their hands. Then he asked how many were forwards and 40 or so kids put their hands up and I said to myself, 'there's a lot of competition so I won't be a striker.' The same thing happened when they asked for midfielders and so I did the same. Then the coach said: 'Are there any defensive midfielders?' Seven or eight hands went up so I said to myself: 'Ok, I'm a defensive midfielder.

I trained as a defensive midfielder during the trial and the coach pulled me aside and said: 'You're not a defensive midfielder, you came here as a forward.'But I kept insisting that I was and that's where it all started."

It’s pretty funny how a guy who’s been a nightmare to so many attackers, and an anchor for a historic CL 3-peat got his start. Like this one moment in São Paulo has ramifications on footy history . Shows that he was a sharp kid too.

Raboit will never play for France again. He done.

He’s about to get the Benzema shackles.
Good, him and his moms can ead  :smh:

Still don't know how Deschamps forgave him for that ***** fit he threw before Russia while blackballing Benz for years until Macron personally asked him to bring him back

It’s not easy to make the Brazilian or Argentine national teams….especially if you’re in an attacking position

My questions is with all the talent produced why are we still stuck with Otamendi?
The defense is weak.
Gone are the days of Ayala, Sorin, Samuel, Milito, and the defensive mids of Zanetti, Cambiasso, and Masherano.
I dont see our D keeping up with Jesus, Fermino, Richarlson, and Neymar.

I could be wrong though. This brazil is giving me flashbacks of our 2010 argentina team. The talent is there but there is something off with the game play. I loved our 2010 team and coach.

I hope this is the year it comes home for Messi.

Pavard is like that for Bayern too, just a nothing player
Pavard helped them win the world cup with that goal he scored on us in rd of 16.
the momentum had shifted and we were up. That miraculous pavard goal brought them back to life.

Would be great to see this English squad win but yea the media and fan reaction will be something man

It's a really likeable group though and they've got more chemistry/team spirit than some of the more talented squads of the past, full of legends, ever had

Argentina has lacked in producing defensive talent since that Sorin/Ayala/Zanetti generation.

In terms of Otamendi, we definitely have better CBs but Scaloni seems to value his experience and leadership. Having Serie A Defender of the Year Romero next to him eases my mind a bit.

Guido Rodriguez will have to play CDM if we make it to the final. If Scaloni tries to run with Paredes against Brazil, we’re getting torched.

Let’s get through Colombia before we start discussing Brazil, though.

I forget that Scaloni was a defender so hopefully he can make the best of our D.

It was the goal of the tournament. My thing is in the 3 years since, he’s been mediocre at best for both France and Bayern

Every national team has a few guys that the manager loves, won’t ever drop, and are taking opportunities away from more deserving players
Exactly why I need Zizou to take over before Qatar :lol, need some fresh mainstays cause some DD's favs have cost them dearly lately.

Can't see Pavard and Kimpembe being undroppable for another coach
