25 grand to climb it? That's actually the low, low end. If you want to go with a bigger name guide with more experience and summits it's closer to the $40-50k range.
If you find this interesting I recommend reading 'Into Thin Air' by John Krakauer. It's about a 1996 expedition he was on that several people died. Really, really good read.
