When it comes to your very first job after college, don't be too picky and just find a good place where you can learn and grow. It's very common for people to switch jobs every couple years...
I used to be in the same shoes as a lot of you posting here- I was unemployed for ~10 months between 2010-2011 after I graduated from college. Just keep at it and keep applying to more and more jobs, keep updating your resume and the persistence WILL pay off.
Both the schools I'm waiting for are higher ranked- one is in the Top 15 (some will say Top 10) while the other one is a Top 10 (some will say Top 5).
The ROI will probably be about the same for all three schools, although the higher ranked schools will probably provide a slightly better...
I have an admit to a Top-20 (borderline Top-15) MBA program now...but still have waiting list spots at two different schools I'd probably rather go to. Just crossing my fingers now hoping one of the waiting lists will work out...
I think Rudy+8 and Lee+Barnes is close enough to be considered around equal. Just my opinion but:
Rudy Gay Barnes (Just by a little bit, but I still think the trade value is pretty close, even though the #8 pick definitely has higher value.)
If the Warriors can trade Barnes for a pick and...
In terms of a backup point, I'm being crazy biased here without a doubt, but I feel like Jeremy Lin would be perfect in that role on the Warriors. As a sixth man off the bench, he would fit in perfectly on a contender (but not as a starter).
Maybe after his current deal expires next...
Haven't purchased a pair of J's since 2011 (concord XIs) but I think this one will bring me out of retirement. Really like these a lot, and would be a great everyday casual shoe
America has both a gun issue and a mental health issue. Yes, this type of stuff does happen in other parts of the world, but it still happens more often here than in other places.
Had the police checked his bedroom and uncovered the evidence, none of the innocent victims would be dead, and...
I don't agree that the trade was just dumb luck. That Monta trade was a very, very good trade, it's just that he was a fan favorite, and Lacob made poor judgment when he did the Mullin jersey retirement, when he decided to talk in front of almost 20,000 fans that were upset at the trade at the...
Agreed.
It's a shame the media, and lots of people, just take the quote in context and assume racism. If you read the entire quote, and go through the entire interview, he was bringing up a much bigger point. I agree with him fully that people all have preconceived stereotypes in their head...
Now we don't have to hesitate dealing Klay if brings the Warriors LeBron, needless to say :lol
I think Melo, surrounded with the right pieces around him, would be a great fitI here, better than David Lee (but that's not saying too much). I think he would accept a different role on the Warriors...
Kyle Anderson looked okay in the tournament, haven't seen much of him though. He's a very interesting prospect though since he's 6-9 and can play point. Would be an interesting backup point if the W's got him.
I'm not sold on Wiggins, I think Jabari Parker is going to be by far the best player...
I fully agree with this.
I feel that Love is basically just much better at the stuff that David Lee can do well, and has better shooting range and can extend out to the three point line. Would he help? Of course he would. But not at the expense of having to give up Klay...
Big men are not as critical to winning as it was ten years ago. In today's game, the "dominant" big man (Shaq, in-his-prime Duncan) simply doesn't exist anymore. As good as Kevin Love is, he isn't on that level, if he was the Timberwolves would be a playoff team.
Miami doesn't even have a real...
I'd take Love on the team for sure, but put me under the list of people who are skeptical he'd instantly turn the W's into a championship contender. Not that I don't like his game, it's just that I'm not sold he would make a dramatic difference.
I also don't think having to give up Klay would be...
Reggie Jackson was fouled, although it was off on him, officials gave the ball to OKC to make up for it. I don't think there's a problem on that one.
Westbrook getting the foul call that Curry didn't get in Round 1.
Well, Lacob better take his time with this one and make sure Kerr is the right person if he chooses to hire him.
Lacob's also getting a lot of heat, but I think with his track record the past few years he should be given the benefit of the doubt. The moves he's made since he took over the team...
This was a huge opportunity for OKC to close the door but they blew it. This one is going to go seven games...
Based on the results thus far, I'm thinking (and hoping) it'll be a Spurs-Heat Finals rematch this year.
