Your Next Vacation Destination.....?

last time i was in mexico city, the uncooked onions and cilantro at a random taco stand had my stomach twisted like keith sweat Boooooooy i was up all night shedding pounds like a fighter trying to make weight. Got my summer body though.

mplsdunk mplsdunk glad you and your wife are having a ball out there! Pics are making me hella nostalgic.

I guess I’m the only one with an iron stomach.

The only issue I ever had was when I accidentally had that water slip into me from scuba diving at the cenote in Tulum.

That’s me if I eat some lil Caesar, I’ll be down for the next day. :lol

So far I’ve broke all the rules and I’m ok. I guess I’m lucky.

I did go to the pharmacist for my eyes burning like a mf’er though. They said it was allergies got me some drops and I was gtg.

Oh yeah we’re loving it. :hat appreciate it

Mexico City is overall the best city to visit in the Western Hemisphere IMO. If you want to go to Madrid but hate bland @&$ Spanish food, just go to Mexico City instead.

It’s extremely easy to get around here, tons to do within walking distance, haven’t had a bad meal, people are generally pretty cool and it’s a 4 hour cheap flight…

You probably want to at least have a grasp on the basics in Spanish, the Spanish I learned in kitchens and construction has been key.

I haven’t traveled as much as some of you but been to all the states but Alaska and all over Canada. Mexico City wins.

Agreed; at least in the main part of the city, even if you’re not out to buy or eat anything, it’s nice to just walk around with the greenery and clean/safe/well maintained streets. I think I walked 95% of the time (mostly to burn off some extra calories :lol ) and didn’t suddenly have to walk through any fiend street parties, illegal trash dumps, collapsing infrastructure, or long stretches of bland chain stores.

Oh yeah there’s parks everywhere and they’re nice af and no fiends really anywhere. I walked most places too, went to the gym was just doing whatever and it was all easy to get to on foot.

I met some Mexican dude from Indiana and he was telling me how it’s so nice just to need a bike and you’re good. I would agree there for sure

yeah and if you get it somewhere else it's usually not very good and a weak imitation.

Never got to post some pics from my recent trip to Vancouver, BC.

We stayed in the financial district right next to Hermes, Rolex, etc.

The food everywhere we went was delicious. Currency exchange rate was appreciated.

The roasted dry aged duck breast posted above was top 3 meals I’ve ever eaten.

mplsdunk mplsdunk lived out of my Filson duffle for this trip, twin

Stopped in the store they have there and picked up a few outlet items. :pimp: The one on the right is a belt pouch I plan on using for outdoor range days or as a hip pack to hold a small box of lures while fishing.

Anyone been to any of the big national parks in Utah? I just want to see something different than what Im used to here in the northeast and the red rocks and desert look otherworldly

Yes, definitely worth it... its like being on Mars.

I'd suggest not going in the middle of summer though - as it is hot as balls. Shoulder seasons are not as brutal.

If you do Arches NP - make sure to do the Fiery Furnace hike. You have to take an instructional video + permit from the Ranger's office, but it was so cool to explore all of these different slot canyons, etc. Takes about 2-3 hours to get through from what I remember, more if you want to explore. We had to do it kinda quick because the sun was going down, and I cracked my ex down one of the side canyons.
