SWA! Inshallah you have a safe flight! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Pakistan - beautiful nature, the people and food! Everything there is soooooooooo cheap. How long are you there for?

Be safe though - may Allah keep you protected good brother!

Crappy service due to remote village location so I haven't been posting much but phone picked up some service today so here we go: food pics, pics of my families lands, house & village high up in the mountains. Also some pics of the nearest big town: Haripur

Still waiting patiently. Austin TX or NYC.

Most likely Austin.

Pics of mountain scenery in a place called Gaazi, also pics of our boat tour at Tarbela Dam. The cost of a 1 hour boat ride was 2,000 Pakistani Rupees so $7 USD...talk about affordable. Our guide was so damn nice he even let all 6 of us steer the boat so I gave a him a little extra

JazakAllah brother! Flight was smooth sailing, Alhamdulillah. Pakistan was dope as hell. I went after 25 years, lol, loonggggggg overdue trip. Definitely right about the nature. A lot of beautiful mountain ranges in & around Haripur where I was. The people- very friendly, curious and accommodating. Just about every shop where we went into the staff offered kava, water and snacks. Yes, everything here is very cheap & affordable. I was there for just under 3 weeks. JazakAllah, may Allah protect you as well & keep you in good health, brother.

zmaqbool zmaqbool Mash’Allah Mash’Allah Mash’Allah. Pictures looks amazing. Did you have your Nikkah there? Alhumduillah and congratulations! I see that Henna is fresh…

My Nikkah was 2.5 weeks ago….

JazakAllah khair, brother! Yup, I had my Nikkah there, high up in the mountains where my dad's side of the family lives. One surreal experience  but Alhamdulillah it feels amazing! Thanks for all the love brother!

Congratulations on your Nikkah. Was it in Morocco? May Allah bless you & your wife & keep you guys happy & healthy in dunya & akhiraat and bring nothing but barkaat in your marriage . Who did your wife's mehndi? Mash'Allah it came out beautiful. Need more pics

Thinking of going to NYC for Easter but bringing the youngins along (both under 6)

Is NYC suitable for them? I haven't been in over 10 years. Media tells me crime rate have gone up. My concern would be just bringing young kids. Also don't know if there is even much for young kids to do/see other than the big toy stores

Another choice, may be Boston cause I've never been before.

Nice! How long you staying? Snow storm coming tonight so you should get some freshies. Up to 15" of new snow expected in the next 1-5 days.

Yeap - we actually got out of there today - I have to leave for Nola tomorrow. :lol

Some areas already started - the worst yet to come - some places are looking at 37”.

I was there for 3 days.

Colombia next month, I think I’m covered on plans for the week in Medellin. 7 hour layover in Bogota on the way back.

Any recs for Things to do w/I hour to airport? Tour guides?

Going back to London in mid January., thinking about going to some other European cities while I’m there
Anyone have any places that would still be nice in the winter? I don’t really mind snow

Brussels is a good winter spot in Europe. Can’t really go wrong with Amsterdam either.

You'll be fine. NYC is very suitable for them. Media has a tendency to overexaggerate their stories. I'm not saying NYC doesn't have crime because we definitely do but it's not as bad as the media would want you to believe. If you come through, let me know I'll give you a bunch of recommendations.

And about Boston- you'll absolutely love it there. Small city with a lot going on, beautiful streets & Colonial architecture. I've been like 6 times and can never get enough. I got recommendations for Boston as well, let me know 👍.

Has anyone been to Cologne Germany and seen the cathedral? Or the other ones in Germany? That would be cool but i wonder if it’s underwhelming in person or if it’s the opposite actually
