It’s just like a big tourist trap.

I saw the falls, went to both sides then went in a haunted house and left.

Yeah pretty much. It's overrun with tourists(not that I blame em) the Canadian side is gorgeous. Nice, lol did you complete the haunted house or left before you got to the finish? I did one of those in PA & completed it. Them employees dressed up like horror REALLY try to get you. The meltdowns & panic attacks people have are ******* hilarious . I saw a father pay & come in with his two daughters aged probably 6-10. The younger one constantly was looking paranoid and freaked out & they didn't even make it through the waiting line area & she started yelling "DAD, WE HAVE TO LEAVE NOWWWWWWW" . Not going to lie I got scared when we turned a dark corner & we couldn't see the person in front of us. Told myself if they get too close to my face I'm swingin

I completed it but it was one of scarier haunted houses I’ve been in for sure.

Seeing other people tweak out is almost more fun than the haunted house itself.

And yeah the Side is way nicer but would you expect anything else?

Nice! that was my 1st & last time- I don't like to pay $ to feel & experience the emotion of fear . Idk how people do those dark haunted mazes...I would never put myself through that, lol.

And for real the sideshow of people tweaking out is def more fun than the house itself.

Why'd they say no? We stopped at Victoria BC on the way back from the Alaska cruise. That city is so damn preppy & aesthetically enchanting I don't have the words to describe it's beauty. The gov't of BC is super anal in the caretaking & maintenance of the city & it's environment. Them oceanfront houses need special approval for when it comes time to repaint the house + it can only be painted in the colors that it was originally painted in. So in say 1930 the house was yellow/red when it was built than you can only paint it a new yellow/red which is crazy. Also, homeowners need permission to trim or remove trees & bushes. City sends an inspector & if they deem it really does need trimming or removing than you have the green light to go ahead & do so, if not too bad enjoy the view, lol.

They said I didn’t have enough kids. I only have one and I guess they want more?

The landscaping rules are new to me. I know places here that won’t let you totally clear cut but it’s not like you need a permit to trim your bushes either…

I’ve also seen those rules with historic homes here in America as well.

Isn’t it amazing when you go somewhere clean you actually notice it? Like I’m so used to trash everywhere and dirtiness when I go somewhere nice it blows my mind.

They said I didn’t have enough kids. I only have one and I guess they want more?

The landscaping rules are new to me. I know places here that won’t let you totally clear cut but it’s not like you need a permit to trim your bushes either…

Minneapolis is a dump kind of unless you are in rich areas. They take care of certain stuff and let a lot of it go to hell. But the areas they show on tv are probably nice.

Depends on what you want to get into. I am interested in history, so I did the Rijksmuseum one day and van Gogh the next. Did van Gogh on magic truffles which was pretty wild. Definitely rent a bike and ride around as that may have been my favorite activity.

Some other things I did / saw:

Foodhallen
Canal tour
Smoke shops if you're into that
Vondelpark to chill / drink / smoke / bike
Tons of different restaurants to try
Bitterballen is a Dutch drinking snack food
The public transportation is super easy (but biking was more fun imo)
De wallen (red light district)

It was a fun place. Lot of hot women on bikes too. I am in Italy right meow but I keep thinking about Amsterdam

Just got back from a Spain, France, Italy cruise + trip with the wifey. Was amazing fun.

Feeling terrible now though was ice cold on the flight back and everyone was coughing and sick around me. Got home at 8 pm and by 11 am the light fever hit. Luckily got 1 day off today as a buffer so just gonna take it easy.

What do you need, fam? Locations? Hotels? Food?

If you’re wanting to be near the Flamingo Beach, stay at the Renaissance or any other near Palm Beach or outside Oranjestad. It’s where the high end stores (Gucci, Prada, a Casino) and part of biggest tourist location in Aruba. It’s their version of boardwalk.

I stayed near Savaneta, more private and away from the tourist area (listed above). They have amazing restaurants next to these places - walking distance. Serene by the Sea is a hotel owned by a family and on the coral reef. Had a chef cook every night. The more exclusive place is next door, Aruba Ocean Villas. They were doing construction 2 years ago for expansion, so I’m sure they’re done. These hotels share a private beach. You’ll see turtles in the sun rise, you can use the kayaks, or even grill (we had a party with the locals that work at these hotels. They brought fresh fish they caught fishing and charcoal for the grill, I brought the veggies and drinks.

The restaurants next to them that i went to are Flying Fishbone and Zeerover (fresh seafood off the boat and you pick it - they cook it how you want on the spot - seating is out on the dock of the water)

If you rent a car, get the smallest car there is. Unless you’re planning to drive out to the ruins and natural bridge and spend time off roading, then get a 4x4 Jeep. It’s very rocky out there.

You can see all of the island in about 2-3 hours round trip.

You can scuba dive (LionFish is huge there - so be careful) , play golf, wind surf, visit the Bushiribana Ruin, and hike the natural bridge and springs (you don’t need a guide), take a boat to Flamingo island to kick it with the flamingos.

The better beaches are north of Aruba, south of Aruba is more windy and a little dirty with all the aloe/seaweeds.

Make sure to stop here to eat - located at a dead end street and don’t be alarm about the area. You’ll see a little shack/stand in the complex by the entrance. It’s a scuba diving place and a house in the same complex. The chef cooks the food fresh at that moment.
