Although he is the champ is isn't really evolving as far as a promo or in ring standpoint. (Although how much can he really improve besides his English and he is obviously working on that)Not regressing but not improving, therefore stagnant.
Both of those matches were great. But there were also some forgettable ones.

D.C. you just like to argue. Let me be more precise then...The CONTENT of his promos hasn't changed. Lots of dramatic pauses and comedy. Rinse and repeat. His execution of speaking the English language has improved. Was that an obvious enough distinction? How are you a teacher but you don't pick up on contextual clues?In addition to that I referenced the thing you are thinking I ignored (his English) and have him an extremely high compliment by basically saying "How much better can he really get..."

I guess we have a different idea of what stagnation looks like.
He is in a new space that isn't NJPW. So he won't have a chance to have a 5* match every time he wrestles.
He needs to improve a different part of his game to be successful in America.
