Wrestling Thread March 1st-31st/ NTWT Mania Survey In OP/ WrestleMania This Sunday/ WWE Hall Of Fam

- Have HHH/Joe come out together on Mon

- HHH brags about Joe being Seth's "Destroyer", Joe says he did HHH a favor and now expects one in return but doesn't say what it is

- Have Joe cost Cena the title at EC, marking his "official" debut to Smackdown and starting that feud

- WM: Joe/Cena, Orton/Wyatt (I would actually do a triple threat with Harper)

- I would "still" book Seth/HHH and basically hope Crossfit Jesus can get himself into shape in 6-7 weeks.

Why are you guys all of a sudden calling Seth injury prone? BOTH injuries were freak accidents, especially the first one. And we had basically watch Seth be a workhouse for almost 2 years prior to that.

Despite the fact that Reigns will likely be booed out of the Camping World Stadium, Vince McMahon has reportedly wanted to do this match for some time. WrestleMania 33 may be the last big chance to do the match due to Taker’s health.

Reigns eliminated Taker in this year’s Royal Rumble match to set up their WrestleMania beef but The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that there is the idea of a generational passing of the torch being discussed, which may be hard to pull off with the expected crowd reaction to Reigns. That could indicate an official heel run for Reigns but The Observer notes that WWE’s long-term goal is still for Reigns to be the face of the company.
I feel like doing a passing of the torch with Taker would have made the most sense if he was passing it to Bray Wyatt. Hindsight is 20/20 of course but if they didn't have Taker didn't drop the streak  to Goldberg keep building the "new face of fear" angle tweak it a bit  and have Taker drop the streak to Bray. That would have been a much better passing of the torch for Taker to do IMO. Not to try to chase the past but the Wyatt Family had a chance at some real ministryesque potential if they did that.

if they're doing a passing of the torch its gotta be with an up and comer like KANE

That's fine if they look at him as the face of the company in the long term. Just give him a great heel run like they did with Rocky and SCSA and he'll be ok...

It didn't take 4 tries for Austin/Rock to be the face of the company though :lol Reigns simply doesn't have any of the qualities that Rock/Austin had to be a top dude other than his looks. We're almost 5 years into his career, and we still don't know who Reigns is as a person.

So just like with people wanting Cena to turn heel, what difference does Reigns put in his character if he turns? Won't he still be the same guy in the ring and promos? You might as well just cheer for him now.

Reigns adds nothing to his character no matter if he's heel or face..He doesn't have the ability to add anything to any character..He flat out doesn't have the charisma/speaking ability of a Cena or Rock or Austin or HHH or Angle..Dude is just bland no matter what he does..His look is bland, his promos are bland, and his matches are bland..There's not 1 single thing special about him that would make any average wrestling fan say "This is the guy of the future"..

Obviously agree that he doesn't have the same qualities as Rock/Austin, that wasn't really my main point. Austin was able to start with his character being a heel. Rock had to play the corny Rocky Maivia character for like a year before he joined NOD and got a legit heel run. It has now been 2 and a half years of Reigns in his own cheesy character. No reason it should be taking this long to turn him heel. It's a proven process with many wrestlers besides Rock and Austin (who just happen to be 2 of the most notable), that you can become extremely over as a face once you're a heel first.

he was over as a heel as part of the shield, the got so over as heels they had to turn them face.

Only 3 ppl can save this WM33 from being the worst of all time WMs

1) Seth Rollins

2) Kurt Angle

3) James Ellsworth

Read that the XFL 30 for 30 is tonight

Just watched the 24 special of WM. I'm glad I got to have witness the The New Day do a hilarious entrance, and see AJ style do his first WM against the GOAT. Ryder wining the IC belt. It may not have been the best but I will def remember it. That was my first WM I got to see live and not a recorded version. Some great moments last year.

He wasn't over..The group was over..Reigns was the least over of the 3 IMO..Only time he'd get a big reaction is during the Triple Powerbomb..Once the Shield broke up it was blatantly obvious that RR was the least talented of the 3..

Sext=Great in ring/not a good promo
Jeans=Great talker/average in the ring
RR=awful promo/slightly below average in the ring

Me too man..It was my first Mania and it was an amazing experience..And although all the matches weren't the best, that fact can't take away from me getting to see BK making his Mania debut, hearing Brock's music hit, seeing an awesome ladder match, and WATCHING THE UNDERTAKER'S ENTRANCE!..

Wouldn't have been able to fulfill a 30+ yr dream if it hadn't been for the generosity of @22stylez..He's da real MVP..

I just watched that last night and IMO it was GREAT. It gave a nice BTS look at the dynamic of Vince, Shane and HHH. You have Vince who LOVES Wrestlers, the wrestling business and his business. Then you see the heir apparent son-in-law HHH who is putting on NXT, helping arrange and oversee the entire WM weekend, training and wrestling in the main event. Then there's Shane, the actual son who does not have the "wrestler look" and is not as in involved in the company, and feels jaded and unappreciated by his Father. You see the RAW emotion in Shane as he tries to kill himself while putting on a show and proving that he's as good at HHH. Then there's Vince who is torn between both HHH and Shane, and is also emotional at the sight of his 3 grandsons making their entrance with Shane.

WM34 or 35 with Shane v HHH with Vince as referee will be pure gold.

seems that it will take all of hhh/steph/shane to do what vince does when he decides to take a step back

ya want to save WM?
vince loves bringing back his guys
