– The tension between Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon is expected to pick up more than it has in the past few weeks. No word yet on where they’re heading with problems between the two but it should play into the WWE Draft and the brand extension.

– Regarding AJ Styles vs. John Cena at WWE Money In the Bank, top officials wanted to do the feud as soon as possible but some were trying to convince Vince McMahon to slow things down and instead build to a first meeting between the two at SummerSlam.

– We noted before that WWE had big plans in the works for Kevin Owens as he’s gained a number of supporters in the company, including Vince McMahon. There has been somewhat serious talk of having Owens win the Money In the Bank briefcase in the MITB Ladder Match later this month. There’s a feeling that Owens will provide the best “briefcase run” out of the other 5 participants as he’s easy to book.

– We have no concrete plans on WWE adding more members to The Club but we can confirm that there has been at least talk of expanding the group. There were recent talk of possibly adding Shinsuke Nakamura or current WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe to the group. It will be very interesting to see what happens with the group in the WWE Draft.

-It’s no secret that the USA Network is the main reason for WWE SmackDown going live next month, which led to WWE coming up with the Brand Extension.

Apparently there was discussion on USA being open to paying for a third hour of SmackDown. Many things are still up in the air and USA was said to be curious about whether or not a third hour would even be beneficial, but they are very interested.

It also could be something that is added down the line, if at all. We should also note that many within WWE are against the third hour of RAW and would also be against an extra hour for SmackDown. Top WWE officials are said to be very skeptical of the idea because of how it has hurt RAW viewership and interest. A third hour of SmackDown would also create issues with international TV partners who don’t want to pay for it.

It’s likely no decision will be made any time soon as WWE officials wanted to re-visit the issue when TV negotiations come up before the current contract expires.

I'd be ok with Smackdown being an hour. Same format as NXT. We don't have to see the same stars every week. Keeps em fresh and important. In NXT we don't see Joe or Balor every week. Gives the women and tag division some shine and importance.
