C'mon. I don't wanna put you down but that story was deaded this morning when they confirmed Jericho sent in his payment for his legal issue.

I can see why they did this though. They need to push Zeke somehow. This is one way of doing it so he doesn't take the pearl river plunge into nothingness.

The Real Reason Ezekiel Jackson Won The ECW Title Last Night

Ezekiel Jackson is not only the final ECW champion, but is technicallythe shortest reigning ECW champion ever. At Guilty as Charged 2001, TheSandman won the Title, and held it for 6 minutes, 32 seconds, beforelosing it to Rhino. From the three count to the credits rolling andfading to black, Jackson's reign was 2 minutes, 59 seconds.

The reason Ezekiel Jackson won the title is because Vince McMahonwanted Jackson to have momentum as he will be heading to the SmackDown!brand. There was a thought of Christian retaining, to give the crowd ahappy ending, but that was shot down.

Some wanted to honor the old ECW on the show, including some old namescoming back for cameo appearances, but the thought was that it was moreimportant to get WWE NXT over, while closing out ECW as quickly as possible.

Dark Match:

* Jimmy Wang defeats Tyler Reks with a moonsault in a good match. Reks cut a heel promo before the match.

SmackDown, Airing Friday:

* Chris Jericho comes out to start SmackDown and says he will win the Chamber. Edgecomes out to a big pop. He talks about spearing Taker last week.Jericho tells Edge to pick the RAW Champion for WrestleMania for hisown good. The lights flicker and Edge spears Jericho.

* Kanevs. Dolph Ziggler takes place until Drew McIntyre comes down in a suit.Dolph tries to take advantage but Kane chokeslams him for the win. Drewcomes in and hits his finisher on Kane but Kane reverses it.

* Rey Mysterio cuts a promo backstage and says he will win the Elimination Chamber.

* John Morrison & R-Truth vs. CM Punk & Luke Gallows is announced for tonight.

* Cryme Tyme defeated Trent Baretta and Caylon Croft in a good tag match.

* John Morrison is interviewed and says his ankle won't make him missthe Chamber. Truth comes in and says he will win the Chamber buttonight, he and Morrison will beat Punk and Gallows.

* CM Punk and the Straight Edge Society come out. Punk cuts a promo and says he will win the belt at Elimination Chamber this Sunday. Tons of heat for Punk.

* Punk & Gallows vs. Morrison & Truth ends in a no contest.What looked like Undertaker's pyro went off during the match,everything stopped but nothing happened. Match is restarted. Morrisonwas really playing up his ankle injury. The referee called for the bellwhen Morrison went to kick Punk but kicked the ring post and went downin pain. SES beats Morrison and Truth down until Rey Mysterio comes infor the save. They beat him down and pose in front of Rey to a ton ofheat.

* Teddy Long is shown backstage. He says he will take action against Shawn Michaelsfor super kicking him on RAW. Mickie James comes in and Vickie Guerreroannounces it will be Mickie vs. Michelle McCool next week with Vickieas the referee.

* Maria, Matt Hardy and The Great Khali vs. The Hart Dynasty is up next. The Dynasty gets the win when Natalya pins Maria. Maria walks up the ramp pissed off with Matt right behind her apologizing.

* Maria is shown backstage arguing with Matt Hardy about him lettingtheir team down. Michelle McCool and Layla come in and make fun of them.

* Edge vs. Batistais next. No pyro for Batista, simple entrance but a big pop. Edge comesout to a big pop also. Batista stalls to start the match. Edge takesthe mic and says John Cenawas right about Batista. Finally they wrestle and it's a good match.Edge spears Batista and Taker's bell hits and he appears in the ring.Taker chokeslams Edge. Taker chases Batista off. Chris Jericho appearsin the ring and hits the Codebreaker on Edge. Taker comes back out andstares down Jericho to end SmackDown after Jericho motions to the WorldTitle.

Hulk Hogan & Ric Flair To Wrestle In TNA

It was announced at tonight's TNA iMPACT! tapings that Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair will make their in-ring TNA wrestling debuts during the March 8th live TNA iMPACT!.
The match will be Hulk Hogan & Abyss vs. Ric Flair & TNA World Champion A.J Styles in a tag match.

I agree.

I see Jericho winning the title, setting up Edge vs Jericho for the title at WM.  And then The Undertaker and HBK can have their match.

As for Raw, I think Sheamus retains.  If Sheamus isn't the champion, I don't see any meaningful way he can be involved at WM.  Probably end up going with Sheamus vs HHH as planned.

Please, don't make me feel like such an !+$. No need for an apology. Sorry for coming off so strong.

I knew Jackson needed that win. But for the most part, I don't mind it. Honestly, he couldn't have been taken seriously if he wasn't even able to win a single ECW title match.

BTW I still feel WWE needs a TV title. It could create a place where R-Truth, Christian, Rhodes, MVP, Kane and others could compete. Putting a strap on these guys could get them over. I always loved the fact that the European title had the ability to do that with X-Pac, D-lo, Venis, Gurerro, etc.

i noticed sumthin on the kofi debiase match where it looked like ted was suffering from some head injury...

im guessin that injury will make ted snap at orton at ec...and then they show the time orton kicked ted in the head that time..

and what is with all these wrestlers using all these kick finishers....kofi, hbk, mvp, sheamus, orton... i know im missing some

I believe the premise is that so they can deliver their finishers to whomever the opponent is regardless of size difference.

Sweet Chin Music is GOAT IMO. I still don't know how they choreograph it so he can deliver it, make it look real, and keep it safe(see Goldberg superkicking Bret Hart). Especially when he deliver's it out of nowhere sometimes.

That "head injury" is a result of Sheamus' kick earlier that night. Orton kicked Ted before Legacy was even formed...

The injury angle with Bret was bad but that Springer segment was painful to watch. I was embarrassed for them.

@ Kelly Kelly being put on that spot...we know what's up.
