I don't know that Raines has the charisma that The Rock has intrinsically.
Therefore "needed a change and the rest is history" is an ad hoc solution that may not apply to Raines' situation at all.

Court Bauer did a WM review with Austin. Says he spoke to a couple members of the Anoai/Fatu family close to Roman to get their take on the situation. With the exception of Rock, Superfly, and Rikishi most of the family has found their most success as heels, and they don’t necessarily gravitate towards training their kids to be faces.

I expected Reigns to win the title, but I really wasn’t concerned about that cause they messed everything up about him way before hand. My “the rest is history” point is back then, the WWF logically corrected their mistake, and quickly. Currently they’re dead set on having Reigns as THE guy when he doesn’t have that personality like a lot of us have said. Agree about Braun having the title as well, but he was 100% ready during his Brock feud. They should have pulled the trigger then instead of having him beaten quickly by Brock.
