That’s my issue with doing this so early. There is NO ONE that thinks he has any chance of winning. And he doesn’t/won’t.
Would have preferred Danielson. Putting MJF over him makes him look THAT much stronger and legitimate. Him beating Starks right now does nothing for him. So yeah, he is the transition.

Danielson is the first PPV cycle feud.
I think they’re doing it now so when they do it for real there’s is already built in history.
When they revisit it 6mos to a year from now it will mean so much more.
Plus they’ll already have great video package fodder.

Don’t really agree there. Let him go over some top of the card guys in the next several months til Doubles or Nothing or All Out. WWE guys/Hangmin/Omega/etc.
That would make him significantly more important than he is now. Gives them another legit A&W guy to get the belt on.
Kind of the way Hunter is dealing with Theories right now. Put him in ring with top card dudes like FRANKLIN and Bobbo to give him credibility. Don’t feed him right to Big Dog (which is why the briefcase was holding him back). He wasn’t ready for that, but Vince gonna Vince.

AEW has a ratings cap of about 1.2 million on a regular basis. I can’t really seem them surpassing that regularly any time soon.
WWE ratings aren’t based on it being good or bad it’s based on being WWE. A company with 50 years worth of brand name association ,history and nostalgia. AEW regardless of individual names can’t compete with that.
CM Punk definitely helped the ratings tho.
