Also, I think the attention was taken away from Wardlow's win to MJF.

AEW needs to be careful though. This is the 2nd Big Star (Cody) that has been vocal about not being happy on their roster.

Number 1 contender essentially got a first round bye plus the NJPW tie in. Casino Battle Royale was essentially an open challenge spot. Makes sense to me that if I’m in the top 5 that I wouldn’t feel the need to take a lottery spot. Plus Kyle O’Reilly has been the hottest wrestler on the show . Sound logic . KAyfabe wise, this makes some sense.

Yea, but this type of logic should be shared with the audience/viewers.

Fans shouldn't be forced to piece in their assumed reasoning into why certain decisions were made.

Especially not from someone being promoted as the Booker of the last 3 years.
