T-Mac's stats:

Year    Team    G    GS    MPG    FG%    3P%    FT%    OFF    DEF    RPG    APG    SPG    BPG    TO    PF    PPG

02-03    ORL    75    74    39.3    0.457    0.386    0.793    1.6    4.9    6.5    5.5    1.6    0.8    2.60    2.08    32.1

and he had 9 consecutive games of 40 points or more when Shaq was out. It is close but Kobe was still better.

Shoooooooot, I mean, we all knew TMac coulda scored 30 a night with another guy on his team getting 28, who doesn't know that?  I mean, it's easy, anybody can do it.

Ya'll act like TMac got all those numbers just cuz he had the ball every possession and could do whatever he wanted with it.

Per game stats are outdated and misleading; look at the advanced ones.

%@! does that even mean?

When is the last time you heard someone say ___ is leading the league in usage % or WS... get the @+++ out of here. Mac was NEVER greater than Kobe. You also forget Bean was a BEAST on the defensive end (All-NBA 1st team defense that year) too. I don't think Mac ever sniffed a All-NBA Defensive team.

Mac had free reign to do whatever he did and that was his max output and all he could do was muster one more basket a game than KB.

T-Mac vs Kobe? We know what happned when T-Mac had better stats and how far the Magic went in the playoffs. And to be fair we saw how well the Lakers did when Kobe was alone and avg 35 a game.

As for explosiveness and lack of it now...2 points is 2 points to me. I miss the dunks but the old timer in me appreciates the footwork and technique  Kobe uses to still dominate the game.

And Prettyplaya is still around trying to troll Kobe posts?

All you had to do was watch the games and know TMac had a better season but that is for a separate thread, I don't need to look at stats (and I like both players). T-Mac was as good as it gets during those prime-healthy years, never had a big man to help him out.

One of T-Mac's under-rated qualities has always been his passing abilities.

Actually on 2nd thought, a separate thread would be a disaster with the homerism.
