Why would anyone sign Asher Roth?

I been rockin with him since Greenhouse Effect came out. That could have been a retail cd if it woulda dropped AFTER he got the buzz he's got now from ILove College IMO.

To everyone sayin he's a terrible rapper and his single is garbage...did you not hear ALL of em's singles? Come on. Without Me, Just Lose It, The RealSlim Shady, and My Name Is were ALL gimmicky songs. The same gimmicks that every rapper uses to sell cd's. You make a single that appeals to the masses soyou can make money.

I hate the Eminem comparisons because to me, Asher is on track to be better. Instead of rapping useless garbage about killing his wife, filler skits with dudesgiving eachother lip service

, and cursing...Asher raps about differentthings. Change Gon' Come, and The Lounge are two huge songs for someone like him to put out and I really respect that.

Yeah, that's true. The Beastie Boys did make an impact in 86 but I never dug their style (nh). There have been a a handful of caucasian rappers on thescene since Eminem like Vanilla Ice, Snow, MC Serch and The Beastie Boys for example but the 1st one that made me legitimately embrace them as true lyricistswho had style was Eminem.

As far as tons of great white rappers out now...I honestly don't know of too many. Any suggestions?

From a mainstream perspective, besides Em , Paul Wall and maybe Bubba Sparxxx(whose just trash anyways) there are no other legit caucasian rappers...and from an underground perspective I don't run into too many people hyping anyoneelse up.
