I still think they should've picked Vince Young.

Is he worth the 2nd pick? Hell no. So yes, he is a bust for that but he can contribute more to a team than guys like Mike Williams or Charles Rogers ever did.

take into account what Reggie Bush was supposed to be in the NFL, a "can't miss", "once in a decade star", "a sure thing" etc
Which is all HYPE. Overhyped, but not a bust - yet.

I called dude a poor man's Eric Metcalf and people lost it.

He's a homeless man's Eric Metcalf at best.

Second season:
12 games - 581 yards rushing, 4 TD's - 73 receptions, 417 yards, 2 TD's... 998 yards from scrimmage and 6 scores. No return TD's.

Third season:
10 games - 404 yards rushing, 2 TD's - 52 receptions, 440 yards, 4 TD's... 844 yards from scrimmage and 6 scores. 3 return TD's.

So for the games he plays, he averages about 80 yards from scrimmage and a TD every other game. He's been injured for two seasons, and his YPC is atrocious.

HOWEVER, my idea of a bust and others ideas of a bust differ... if he did nothing good on the football field, was unproductive, and was out of the league after a few seasons, he's a bust. I can name you numerous top 5, top 10 picks that haven't done a damn thing in the NFL. Hell, his buddy barely made it as a 2nd string QB and "Superman" Vince Young can't even shine against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Reggie can't run between the tackles, but he's still one of the best receiving RBs in the league and always a threat to rip one off. I'd call him overpaid. I'd call him overrated. I'd call him overhyped. I wouldn't call him a bust - yet.
This.

One of these is not like the other.

He isn't a top ten all time bust, not close. He is a productive player...picked too early but he is effective unlike true busts

I wouldn't classify him as a bust (yet). He still poses a threat on the field although his production has tailed off through the years. He underestimatedthe speed of the NFL game and hasn't to this point adjusted.

He still has time

At least Reggie has proven he can contribute week in and week out. (when healthy)

Exactly, if BUSH is in your top 5 then they must be #1 & #2 on that list.

No chance is Reggie Bush even close to being near the top of the list of all time busts. OP you are trippin.

Duke pulled in 88 receptions as a rookie, he ain't no BUST. OP you need to look up what the definition of a bust means

When I think of bust, I think of fools strung out on drugs or making idiot decisions that keep them off the field. I never thought he would be an every downRB. He can be utilized for far more than that. He's no bust but he's not putting up alarming numbers either. At least he's productive when outthere.

Then you aren't very smart, bruh. Mario Williams isan All Pro DE and has a playing style that resembles a young Bruce Smith. Those are very hard to find.

Obviously y'all expectations and what The Saints actually drafted him to be are two different things. You weren't drafted to be thee guy If you'reonly getting 150 attempts; obviously they think he's more important as an all around player than an every down back. You cant call him a bust as a RBbecause they have never used him as that 180-200+ carry guy. And then u throw in Bush being injured here and there these last two years...that's nothelping. Bush is only as good as his attempts allow him to be; he's on a pitch count. If Chris Johnson can take 251 carries so can Bush. They must feelthere's nobody on that team that can replace what Bush can do all around...or he'd be thee Back.

Leon Washington

If Bush got the carries he'd have MJD, Addai and Lendale White numbers. D'Angelo Williams numbers are out of this world

yup, reggie executes that 6 yard swing pass like no one before him.

Not a good running back but can be a productive player in a good system. Wouldn't call him a bust just yet.

As a SAINTS season ticket holder, he have bad games & many injuries....BUT da dude is a monster. He might not be an ery dwn back, but he is a threat on dafield. Watch out for my

This is true, if you notice he gets that LT/Mike Vick on the Falcons treatment by defenders. Dudes definitely give it their all when he's onthe move.
