This! Just check the requirements for entry level jobs especially in IT. 2-3 years previous experience is not uncommon. ..Yup and thats where people go wrong. They think that having a 4.0 GPA will land them their dream job, which is not the case at all. I know a handful of people that are going through this now. I've always stressed the importance of internships/co-ops , because without them the job/internship hunt is much harder. Just because you have a 4.0 doesn't mean that you can perform well in the workplace. Companies would much rather have the candidate with 2+ internships and a 3.0+ GPA, than someone with a 3.6+ GPA and no experience.
