WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

If it doesn't and leads to 2 separate Avengers groups, then clearly Stark wins. He's the one funding Cap's Avengers currently. Aint no other rich guys on that team. Hope they get use to operating out of NYC sewers.

Na. Pretty sure Hank Pym will just bankroll Cap's squad.
What? Hank Pym? You know he's anti-Avengers right?

Quotes from Feige just confirmed that and if that were to happen expect Pym to be more demanding than Stark ever was.

Pym already is a problem to deal with but an older more grumpier movie Pym? Cap might retire.
Didn't Annihilation run at the same time as CW?

Haven't read all of it but I've been told almost universally that it's one of the best Marvel events of the recent history
Yes and it is far superior.

After the end of it one of the best parts in the Nova comic is when Rider goes back to Earth and discovers while he's been saving the universe the heroes have been wasting their time fighting each other like children :lol Son got tight and after a short stint with the Avengers went back to space.

Also random IMO: Cap was right because the US government in Marvel comics is essentially evil so trusting them to do anything makes no sense in the context of the history of the marvel comics us goverment.

*shrugs*

I really liked Messiah Complex, Messiah War, and Second Coming. Fear Itself was decent, but Age of Ultron was a let down.

The Messiah Complex trilogy is my favorite recent event too. That whole era for X-Men :smokin X-Force Vol 3, Cable Vol 3, Uncanny X-Force, as well as the various [adjective] X-Men titles. All flames

Favorite comic run is Uncanny X-Force

The sense I got from Ant Man is that he's anti-Tony.

Right now, of course he doesn't trust the Avengers because they're affiliated with such. But if a faction breaks out that opposes Tony...

*edit

Oh nvm you think he will be so harsh that Cap can't work with him

Idk. If former criminal Scott Lang can work with him, and he's ok with an ex-con dating with his daughter, maybe he's easier to get along with than you think :)

I didn't get the sense that he's hard to get along with. He even let Scott's friends join in on the mission. And they're the biggest goof balls around.

Depends on how you already feel about the event and then the context you want to place things in when it comes to ppl who disagreed with you.

CW definitely had it's flaws (many if you want to get in to it) and story wise it is definitely far from one of the best comic stories ever told but it's clearly a hot topic that'll generate talk that's evidenced by it being the best seller.

Executing events is a very hard thing to do, especially with tie-ins. Millar got caught up coordinating it all with Marvel editorial and the story reportedly did change a bit and i the end we got what we got.

I do know of some seasoned comics fans that loved the event if only for what it set up down the line.

I guess events are hard. In fact now that I think about it the last good one imo was Annihilation.

The rest of them start off good and end poorly, like Secret Wars and Civil War.

or they stink form the jump or they just make no sense.

The main secret wars comic is good, despite the lead up to it being trash. All these alt universe tie-ins are straight garbage.

Whoops I meant Secret Invasion not Secret Wars.

Secret Invasion produced one of the best Black Panther stories I've ever read.

I was happy that I got back into comic during the time of these storylines. Uncanny X-Force is sooo good.

Old Man Logan isn't bad but pretty much everything else is trash. First issue of Infinity Gauntlet was good too

I Kind of like Renew Your Vows :lol

Eh that's true :lol They're pretty corrupt.

Tony's whole thing was he'd have all the secret IDs and if you kept reading we all know by the time Osborn took over Stark had the names erased.

The ones with the skrulls trying to take over Wakanda :hat

The fact that Cap & Falcon are reduced to relying on a stranger shows just how alone they are in this battle, at least in the beginning.

Yall bugging.

Future Imperfect, Squadron Sinister, Thors, Marvel Zombies, and Weirdworld are all dope.

Siege and Guardians of Knowhere have had a good start too.

The tie ins of civil war was good. Main story wasnt bad either.

I kind of assume the movie may play like that one marvel game did. Where at the end they had to defeat all the bad guys who took advantage

Is it just me or does It feel like casual comic fans regard Civil War as some amazing seminal Marvel story line while more seasoned comic readers regard it a good concept that was executed poorly, ultimately leading to a deeply unsatisfying conclusion?

100% correct

Avengers vs X-Men and Schism were the exact same way. (Though more quickly forgotten due to neither effecting the entire Marvel Universe) Feature superheroes fighting and its basically a recipe for disaster.

I heard Squadron Sinister was trash

I've only been following a few of the tie ins and just hitting up YouTube for recaps of some of the other. Almost bought GoK yesterday too after seeing them in Infinity Gauntlet

Like if you think about it too hard and run down all the history the US government in Marvel is comically evil. I mean haven't they been directly or indirectly trying to engineer the genocide of mutants? :lol

Captain America should have really just over thrown the whole thing.

Its probably due to late 60' and 70's marvel counter culture grenich village roots. but I can think of precious few instances where the US goverment is actually on the up and up.

The US goverment are either actively engaging in evil or they are easily manipulated or taken over by evil people and directed towards evil goals. :lol

No.

Oh yes they have. It started with the mutant registration act. Then okaying and funding stuff like sentinel programs officially. If not sentinels showing up at malls makes even less sense :lol

The U.S. gov't is constantly secretly or indirectly letting independent anti-mutant ppl with money or power do what they want. Even after House of M, they had a new sentinel program and basically tried to put them in camps word to Japanese internment.

Forgot about Infinity Gauntlet. That one is good. A-Force and Inhumans: Attilan Rising as well now that I think of it

That's still 3 out of 50

Have yet to read GoK.

Yuuup.

So the idea that Cap or ANYBODY is supposed to trust them with superhero registration? Nah b. :lol

Y'all genuinely act as if having Sentinals doesn't make perfect sense in the face of mutants like Magneto, Apocalypse, Stryfe, etc. The issue is that the Sentinels are then continually privately made by corporations and people that want to use them for villanous purposes, or to just plain kill all mutants.

Not really any different from the Superhuman Registration Act. Having superheroes registered and trained by the government so they can properly use their powers? Great, but then how to make absolutely certain that none of the evil geniuses in the world ever get into the database and leak all of that information?

yeah I guess It's too much to ask the government to for see how having giant robots made by private corporations could be abused. :rolleyes

also pretty sure original sentinals weren't these passive guardians, they were capturing or murdering mutants.

but like I said the US goverment in Marvel is not to be trusted, I mean Weapon X: capturing mutants, forced experimentation to create weapons of mass destruction? I mean that's Nazi type stuff. :lol

Just the teaser Image they have on the Infinity Gaunlet comic with Thanos and (I think) the Mom fighting with two different Gaunlets and the stones split up is :smokin

When it comes to comics i usually take opinions of storyline with a grain of salt (as all things) but i also grew up in the 80s90s time line of comics.
With that said tho. No matter what they do ill look at the movie with no previos bias
