I am not sure I follow just becaue Feige is incolved in all stories in MCU and now somewhat a consultant for Sony. I think he will be consistent with the events in MCU but I don't know, just don't see Spidey being a big feature character in MCU, again if I were Sony I'd want to still do my own thing with that character and make major stories with him. I'd let him fight along the Avengers, make cameo and be part of the group that takes down Thanos but he can't be the one that does the deus ex machina or the one that beats him.
Well I mean Spidey works best on his own anyway. All I really want to see is him fighting along side of the Avengers and showing up here and there. This works best for Sony honestly because instead of trying to dish out all his best stories instantly, they could use some of the MCU stuff. Like after this first trilogy is over or whatever, he could lead his own squad of Avengers his age similar to the cartoon or something like that.
No I get what you are saying but that would require a split between studios and that wasn't part of their deal. Doing that would mean Spiderman would star in his own MCU film and if I were Sony, I'd ask for a percentage of profits and then production cost/share, etc... will be the issue like it was before. I just don't think a movie with a Spiderman centerpiece is practically giving Spidey back to MCU and I am not sure Sony will allow that unless they get a big chuck of the profit from it.
Via Variety:
Marvel Studios won’t pay Sony Pictures for the rights to put Spider-Man in “Captain America: Civil War,” the “Avengers” franchise or its other superhero films, as part of its new partnership with the studio, according to sources with knowledge of the deal. At the same time, Marvel won’t receive a cut of the box office for any of Sony’s films that feature Spider-Man. Sony won’t receive a percentage of the revenue Disney makes from Marvel’s films that have Spider-Man, either.
