WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

tony and war machine bout to get washed

yet another movie where the central conflict is largely starks fault, the MCU would be better off without him
Well according to reports, the conflict will start due to Crossbones, and Crossbones is Cap's villain, so technically....
crossbones is just a bad guy, stark literally creates his villains

it may be crossbones that starts it but the its still everyone disagreeing with tony that is the "civil war". dude is basically a communist tbh

No one really, Stark/RDJ is maybe the only one that is both a douche but still likable at the same time in the MCU.

I guess Dr. Strange was a bit cocky before he got his powers? CUmberbatch could probably be a likable d*ck? They said that was the character that will become the center of attention after RDJ is gone, supposedly.

Seems like Doc Strange is the best candidate. Seeing how Star Lord is all over the galaxy, and Spiderman is a kid. Don't think anyone else could be the face of the MCU. Aside from Cap.

I was proven before that Spidey could indeed appear in more MCU films but I another thing I am not sure of is if Spidey have a big enough role to a point where he is the centerpiece of the film on the MCU side? I could see him doing more than a cameo but to be the center piece of an MCU film seems too much for Sony to let them? Like if I were Sony I would love the marketing and advertisement I'd get from being in MCU films but I probably would want the bigger stories to be told on the Sony side of films.

i thought cap (evans) was going to retire from the MCU first?

He said he wanted to direct more but I think his attempt at that didn't pan out the way he wanted so it seems he has been quiet on that front lately, maybe he changed his mind?

After watching Ant-man, I really am looking forward to Civil War.

Well Feige is involved in the story of the film so based on that I can only believe that after his trilogy is over he'll be playing a bigger role in the MCU.

seems like he has a movie coming out later this year (before we go)

that seems to be his only directed movie

did he get turned down from a project or something?

Seeing Ant-Man tmrw

One of my favorite critics who panned the film all year said it was one of the most enjoyable movie experiences he's had all year :hat

Ant-Man turning haters into believers

I am not sure I follow just becaue Feige is incolved in all stories in MCU and now somewhat a consultant for Sony. I think he will be consistent with the events in MCU but I don't know, just don't see Spidey being a big feature character in MCU, again if I were Sony I'd want to still do my own thing with that character and make major stories with him. I'd let him fight along the Avengers, make cameo and be part of the group that takes down Thanos but he can't be the one that does the deus ex machina or the one that beats him.

I thought that film came out a year or so ago? I think he may have been disappointed with the Snowpiercer as well, I guess not necessarily an independent film but it didn't exactly get a wide release in the US iirc?

And I think Phase 4 (through however long they go before rebooting) will be cosmic based so whoever gets the Captain Marvel gig will probably be pushed as the Face of the MCU for a while

His beef is with the Weinstein company. They wanted 20 minutes to be cut from the film before they gave it a wide release

I'm pretty sure he's happy about the overall experience though because it the most praise he's ever gotten as an actor

snowpiercer is better than any marvel movie not named cap2 or avengers though

and it is by far evan's best performance

i guess he just wasnt happy with the numbers it made?

Maybe? It only made like $4m in the US I think and less than $100m overall iirc? Not sure of the budget either.

I do think it's the director thing though. I've never seen it but I do remember it not getting good word when he brought it to TIFF or Cannes or something. Could be wrong though.

snowpiercer made a **** load of money per screening and ended up on a lot of year end list. It wasn't shown In a lot of theaters because it was released on VOD at the same time

I don't think actors really care about numbers when they do a film like that, he's been around for a while so I'm sure he knew what to expect

Well I mean Spidey works best on his own anyway. All I really want to see is him fighting along side of the Avengers and showing up here and there. This works best for Sony honestly because instead of trying to dish out all his best stories instantly, they could use some of the MCU stuff. Like after this first trilogy is over, he could lead his own squad of characters his age similar to the cartoon. He doesn't have to be a major feature in the MCU, just have his presence known. And Sony could use what's happening in the MCU for more storytelling opportunities. Both sides benefit.

I think they do care just because that is likely one of the big factors in getting your future projects green lit.

weird.

chris evans was good but the cinematography and set design is what made the movie great

It was released in 8 theaters opening week and made 162k. That's over 20k a screening.

For perspective, TWS averaged 24k a screening and Thor 2 averaged 21k

It was widely noted that the studio botched the release and ****** it up for award consideration. I don't remember the exact numbers but it almost broke VOD records and doubled its box office revenue.

Evans is fine, If he loses a role it's because he's competing with the 3 other Chris' lol not because of Snowpiercer
