With just under two weeks remaining before Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters worldwide, Entertainment Weekly spoke recently with Joss Whedon about the latest rumors. Surprisingly, the writer/director revealed that Age of Ultron will not continue Marvel's post-credits tradition because he couldn't top the shawarma scene. "We all came at it separately—we don’t want to chase that," said Whedon. "That was a jewel and a weird little quirk. There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out. We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: 'Son of a *****! I’ll kill them!'" Even though there won't be a post-credits scene, Whedon says he and Marvel did try to come up with something. "It didn’t seem to lend itself in the same way, and we wanted to be true to what felt right," Joss Whedon says. "The first rule of making a sequel is take the best moments and do something else. Don’t do the Indiana Jones gun trick again differently. Just go somewhere else. Don’t try to hit the same highs, because people will sense it."
Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige also spoke with Entertainment Weekly, echoing Joss Whedon's comments that there will not be a post-credits scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, "There will be a [mid-credits] tag," he said, "but there’s not a post-post-credit scene."
Kevin vFeige was then pressed about the never-ending rumor that Carol Danvers will be introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron before flying solo movie in the Captain Marvel movie, to which the producer confirmed is completely untrue. However, Feige did tease that there is a "secret female character" in the Marvel sequel: "It’s not a big deal, but it’s a good character," he said.

Ultron emerges for the first time as a program amd kills JARVIS.

The Avengers have a heavy discussion when Tony admit what he's done. Thor is choking him in the course of the debate. They get over it to fight the new threat together, though.

Ultron and the twins go to Aftrica to retrieve Vibranium from Klaue (no mention of Wakanda).
The Avengers fly to Africa and fight the twins and Ultron.

I ran to the bathroom and back during credits for that, while having folks ask if there was a post credit scene. That shawarma scene sucked. I had bladder pain just to see that letdown.
