Verne Troyer is going to be cast as Spiderman.Still dont understand the need to reacast for Spiderman. I thought Andrew Garfield was perfect for a young Spider Man/Peter Parker. How much younger can they possibly go without screwing the character up?
I think it's smart.Wow, no Marvel at SDCC
I think that's horrible.
That's another thing. Now they don't have to do stuff annually or feel forced to. They can save up announcements for their own events and when they don't want to do what they been doing by announcing stuff and let the internet go wild.Nah, SDCC will still be crowded as hell even without Marvel studios.
I honestly wish what you say is true because SDCC has become more of a Hollywood showing than an actual comic-book-oriented convention for comic book fans. Then maybe it'll be easier to get some tickets.
I a curious if Marvel just plans to have their own conferences themselves but that only really worked last time because they were announcing the whole slate of Phase 3 films. I am not sure they could do that annually when only promoting one or two upcoming films like they usually do at SDCC? I mean I am sure they can make a spectacle out of it but they're going to have to bring some substance, much more than they usually show at SDCC.
Eh, I like it that they are forced to do it every year. It's something to look forward to and at least we get something solid and confirmed than just leaks and here-says throughout the whole year or some dude telling us the slate of films based on who is drawn on a poster.

New Spidey?
All speculation of course but let's get the rumormill started this early Monday morn!
Obviously this could turn out to be nothing to do with Spider-Man, but it's worth a bit of speculation for a quiet Monday morning. 21-year-old British actor Sam Strike (formerly of UK soap Eastenders) has landed a big US movie role, and many seem to think that it could be our new Spidey. There's no real evidence to support this, but he's the right age, has the right look, and if you take a look at his Instagram page there are several superhero-related pics, including one of Strike in a Spidey mask with the caption "I'm Spider-Man".

‘EastEnders’ Star Sam Strike in Talks for Lead in ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Prequel ‘Leatherface’ (Exclusive)
“EastEnders” star Sam Strike is in negotiations to star in “Leatherface,” the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” prequel that is coming together at Millennium Films, multiple individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
"I know it’s still early in the year, but I’m calling it now: The most beautifully choreographed fight scenes of 2015 will be on Netflix, courtesy of Marvel’s Daredevil. We’ve seen the first four episodes, and this show is like no other comic book adaption on the small screen yet. The beauty of Netflix is the freedom it allows—Daredevil gets as dark as the source material requires. It’s so dark, it’s almost a better Batman show than Gotham, and that show actually has Batman in it. If nothing else, Daredevil will rule the comic book TV landscape for years to come."
This was expectedObservers review of Daredevil! Can't wait!
