How can you count that as part of the bubble? It was a terrible movie panned by everybody. Even Lucas was like it's bad and the tech ain't reach up to his vision. Thing is that ****** movie didn't stop Batman movies from being made.

Ya see back then it was seen as Batman movies sell not superhero or comic book movies sell. That's different from now. Studios are looking to get film rights from indie comics since Disney, FOX, and WB locked up the majors. Mark Millar is a millionaire off of his indie comics becoming movies alone. That's all a part of the bubble.

Those movies were not making billions of dollars (I don't even think hundreds of millions even if you adjust for inflation for the movies of today) to create a sustainable market focused on a specific and thus a bubble. My time frame for this bubble is '99/2000 (Blade and the X-Men). I say then cuz that's when the tech got better to do do the special effects.

Batman and Superman movies didn't make other studios go looking to make other superhero movies at a consistent pace or even adapt comic books in general.

That doesn't mean there haven't been a lot of superhero movies dating back to Zorro (The Shadow, Phantom, failed F4, failed Cap movie, failed Punisher (this property should've thrived in the 80s), Green Hornet etc.)

If you're just defining the bubble as superhero movies period then this bubble is 96 years old (first being Zorro in 1920) and if that's what you're going by the bubble is never gonna burst.

With that view you could argue the Western movie bubble never burst cuz westerns are still made today.

Western movies died out when space exploration became popular. Feel like this was the plot of toy story 2 :x

You're not going to really get superhero fatigue.. they've just become one of the biggest genres of blockbuster. Used to be westerns, epics, space, aliens, etc.

The only "concern" will be if/when their super popular guys (RDJ) hang em up and if the new characters/movies fail to capture the audiences. But considering they've had success with Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man.. I don't think that'll be a real problem.

The more likely scenario is Marvel/Fox/Sony still pump out superhero movies, but you might see a quality decline which could result in a critical fatigue.. but your average moviegoer will still flock to see whatever comic book movie is out in the summer.

Just wonder how the quality is going to be and which actors are going to stick around

Definitely. It takes so many moving parts to align just right, to make a good movie. On top of that, these are comic book movies that are interwoven. Plus, almost consistenly good sequels, trilogies, et5c. These Marvel phases have set the bar so high.

You can bet when other studios suck it hurts marvel too..

Case in point.. Batman v Superman sucked. How much you wanna bet some ppl were like, OH heroes are fighting each other in CW again, this joint is gonna suck too LOL

If you're gonna suck, just sit out the race or give the rights to Marvel. Even if you're DC just give the rights to Marvel lmao

marvel should cater to the casual fans that dont know to wait till after the credits

they should just put the end credit scene that has nothing to do with the movie plot and is purely to set up future movies into the middle of the movie

I remember leaving early for a Marvel movie. I was too high to patiently wait through those long *** credits. Figured the scene would be uploaded online shortly.

I would leave the symbiote for the Spidey movies

Spidey got the symbiote costume in the massive multi-character crossover event in space, but it was just a nifty costume that changed into his regular clothing at will and made webbing for him. It didn't actually factor into his stories as something negative/villainous until later down the line in his solo series.

Same formula works easily on film. When else would he have the opportunity to obtain an alien costume in space?
