For the average consumer, Touchwiz isn't bad. For people and agencies who consider resource management, power consumption, general usability, and look and feel to be important....Touchwiz is a very big deal.

Samsung's ploy with hardware was to cram everything they possibly could into a phone and design it as smooth as premium as possible. Thats a good strategy with hardware. They tried to apply that same strategy to software. It doesn't work well.

That's absolute ******** and u know it :lol

If u don't like the look of stock Touchwiz u could change it completely without root

Their cameras are unmatched and the software is only second to the LG V10

NO OTHER Android device offers the battery life their phablets offer. That's largely in part due to the Touchwiz "smart manager" (Samsungs doze esque feature on lollipop) along with their money "power save" option that doesn't bog down performance at all

If u don't like Touchwiz that's cool but don't give me that usability and productivity jargon :lol

Samsung pay is also ******* awesome

finally messed with the 6P. my boy copped a few weeks ago. :hat :hat

def copping, but i need to move my note 4 asap. **** retailed for 700 last year and i can't move it for more than 300-350 on ebay. i learned my lesson paying premium prices for fast depreciating tech, i knew it depreciates, but idk why i made that decision to buy anyways..was thinking "screw it" since it was only 30 a month, but i should've stuck with the nexus 5 :{

i think i want the protection plan too on 6P. i don't believe in insurance plans, but extended warranty that includes any accidental damage for 90 for another 2 years seems like a go to me.

Its not BS. I've been in those meetings. People, especially those that represent businesses, really care about that sort of thing. Business owners aren't looking to buy a device for their team and then tell them "Well, if you don't like the look, download a custom launcher!" People from corporate entities aren't going for that, people from nonprofit entities aren't going for that, no one is going for that. And that means something: blackberry is still a company thanks to its corporate contracts.

Their cameras have already been bested. Their battery life has been matched or bested with extended batteries, battery cases, etc. Have you used a S6 recently? Its not hard to beat. The entire reason for why Samsung even made Smart Manager is because tasks in Touchwiz could stay for up to a full week without use. Thats 7 days that a task is running on the device's processor, forcing unnecessary context switching and draining the battery without ever being opened.

The fact that Smart Manager even exists on top of Android, which has task scheduling built in, speaks volumes to how poorly Touchwiz manages tasks. People like you think "Oh, samsung is making new features available to us!" No, they're fixing an issue that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Go back and look at the Galaxy S2, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Mega forums. You'll find that Smart Manager fixed a Touchwiz issue that has existed for years.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Samsung is a great company with very compelling hardware. Its just that their software is basura. Even the CEOs know it. Why are you trying to defend it? :lol The only redeemable thing about Samsung's software outside of Pay is KNOX imo.

Samsung pay is the best payment system out by far.

What's so much better about it than Apple or Google?

Three letters: MST, or Magnetic Secure Transmission. Samsung Pay is unique in that devices using Samsung Pay can emulate the eletronic signature of a debit or credit card. In laymans terms, it means your phone can "swipe" like a card, even at terminals that don't support NFC (and, as a result, do not support Android or Apple Pay.)

You can use it virtually anywhere that accepts debit or credit cards.

Samsung basically monopolized the mobile payment industry by purchasing the company LoopPay which basically enabled them to be the only mobile payment option which uses MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission). This allows you to use your phone to pay with all card readers even the ones that don't have NFC installed (alot) comparatively Apple Pay is a gimped version of Samsung pay and is nowhere near on the same level

You can use Samsung pay practically anywhere that accepts credit card payments. Apple and Google rely on NFC technology and not everyone accepts NFC. Samsung pay mimics the physical swipe of a card so it is accepted at most places.

Your phone's battery life and camera is not better than my S6 Edge +'s. It's proven bro. Out of the top most important categories Samsung phablets are still the best. Battery (software being the reason why) , camera, screen, customization (now with the built-in theme engine) are all top notch. Only thing on this phone that is lacking is the trash speaker that's about it

The V10's camera is better, bruv. Even with the battery situation, I prefer the two removable batteries to the one nonremovable one. But I'm not talking about your phone vs my phone, I'm talking about Samsung. You may have taken my fact based disagreement personally and are now looking for something to "be right" about. Carry on, then. :lol

No way the V10 camera is better. Got a chance to play with it extensively last week as I was waiting for them to transfer all my stuff from my old phone.

V10's video camera is awesome with its superb manual controls but it's camera is not better. Your better than that

V10 battery is ***.

What kind of SOT are you getting? I put my brother on to the V10 and he said the same thing about battery life a couple days ago. I asked him about his SOT and he said, "I don't know, it's just bad. No wonder it came with an extra battery."

Before the V10 he had a Note 3 so I'm not sure how the battery life compares between the two. I'm satisfies with my G4 battery life and I assume the V10 is very similar.

Yea, MST is where it's at. I also seen the promo for the $50 BB gift card if you sign up for it.

Speaking of Samsung pay

When my girl got her s6 back in early October I tried signing up for the free wireless charger promo. Unfortunately none of her cards were compatible so I figured we wouldn't get the charger.

A couple months and she never got any emails so I ordered her an anker charger on amazon for Xmas, she texts me Xmas eve saying the Samsung charger came in lol.

So for those without a compatible card should still sign up for those Samsung pay promos

Not surprised. Had the g3

Battery was ***

yea pretty much the only negative thing I have to say about the V10 is that the battery life isn't great. I mean, its not bad, but its kinda disappointing that they couldn't put a bigger battery in such a huge flagship phone. but hey, the fact that LG is the only big manufacturer that still makes phones with removable batteries kinda makes up for it.

Gear S2 watch is nice. Got it setup with my Nexus 5. Just waiting on another price drop on S6 or the Note once new models are announced.
