Is a certified pre-owned Nexus 6 for $300-$350 a good deal? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the phone and don't know if it's worth it to jump on it, especially since I'd have to wait and buy it in online.

I think Amazon has it for $250 right now.

Yea if you got one of the recent samsungs def grab that for $99. almost wanna go out and buy one just for the headset

Yea, I'm looking at EIP right now, only reason I'm considering it. I've been tryna hold off on buying the 6P til I got the money but this 16gb of space on the Nexus 5 aint cuttin it anymore :lol

I definitely know the feeling. Flashed a lean MM rom so I can have the most space possible on my 16GB N5. Skipping the N6 for the 6P

I went ahead and copped one with my Samsung money. Only bought it because it seemed interesting, for those that have it is worth the money?

That's $500 I aint got right now pleighboi. Wife surprised me w/ a trip to Vegas and Orlando, I would've preferred to spend the money on bills and a new phone but whatever :lol

I'd just do what rillo said above and flash a lean ROM. Should leave you with at least 10GB to play with after installing all of your apps.

Nexus 6 just didn't age very well and the 6P is better in every aspect.

how'd the nexus 6 not age well? still getting updates first, not a hint of lag or slow down, etc. unless you mean it's so big it looks dated? maybe it just needs a fatter bezel.

or maybe it's the camera? all cell phone pics look like doodoo vs a DSLR though.

it is lacking finger print sensor but at least it has wireless charging.

Hopefully he just means in terms of the initial MSRP. I'd still be using my Nexus 6 had I not cracked the screen. If it weren't for the battery, it'd still be one of the top 10 Android phones available imo.

Got Marshmallow on my Moto X 2014 today, hopefully this brings a little better battery life. Already went through and played around with some of the permissions which is a welcomed addition.. and one thing I noticed was now I can control media directly from the Moto lock screen. Before when the phone was locked, I wasn't able to stop/skip/pause Netflix/Spotify/whatever but now I can without having to hit the power button.

A little random ting like that is always cool to me.

Y'all buggin. My nexus 6 has great battery life, no lag and the latest android OS when google releases it.

Now if I were one of the dudes that bought it on day one for $800, I'd be livid at the depreciation :lol

Has anyone received a similar message when trying to open an app?

1000

How can I get around this? I have the oneplus one (android os)

Thanks

Try to download the patch for Android Pay on rooted devices from the Xposed Framework marketplace.

Rooting breaks Android Pay. I'm guessing some sites attempt to use the Android Pay API, which would result in errors like that. Try the patch and let us know if it works.

There's an Xposed module that hides root. Works on some apps, doesn't on others. You can temporarily disable root on SuperSU.

I play Pokemon Shuffle (fight me bro) which does the same thing. That xposed module doesn't work, so I have to disable root.

Google will reportedly challenge Facebook with an intelligent messaging app
By Jacob Kastrenakes on December 22, 2015 04:37 pm Email @jake_k

Google is said to be building a new messaging app, this time with an intelligent twist: it'll let you chat with your friends or message a Google bot for answers to your questions. The Wall Street Journal reports that Google has been working on this new service for at least a year, though it isn't known when it might launch.

It isn't stated how powerful Google wants this intelligent bot to be at launch. Likely, it would be able to do everything that a normal Google search can, offering up answers when it can and providing links when it can't. That means you might be able to message it for information on the weather or to look up details on a restaurant. The Journal reports that Google will likely allow other developers to build chatbots that run on the service, so you could receive an answer from an app that has the information you're looking for. Google declined to comment.

The intention is to prevent Google from losing out on search to other messaging services, like Facebook's, that have been building in intelligent bots of their own. Google doesn't currently have a successful messaging app — even Hangouts is kind of a mess — so the implication that Google is building yet another one is reasonable. It could always opt to build this service into an existing chat app as well.

The service sounds like it's meant to directly compete with Facebook M, a bot that Facebook is testing inside of Messenger. Like what Google is said to be doing, M automatically searches the web for answers to questions, but it takes that one step further: for more complicated queries, a human assistant will take over, allowing M to do things far beyond what a computer could. The Journal doesn't mention Google considering anything outside of the digital realm — that's its area of expertise, anyway — but it'll need to offer something at least as powerful if it wants to hook users. Then there's just the small question of whether Google can get people chatting with their friends, too.

just got my 6p in the mail. i should have just waited and bought this in the first place instead of going with the pure edition. lost about 120 bucks.

Pure edition looked to be the best Android phone of the year until the 6p and V10 came through.

OMG Amazon Warrior #40 :rollin

Those videos are damn near 8hrs long fam, I play them occasionally while I'm asleep at work as background noise

AT&T sent my 6S edge plus in a generic AT&T box with my phone in a sleeve and the rest of the components in the box.
My wife's 6S edge came in a nice shiny Samsung box.
Waiting on a call back from the executive office so I can exchange it in store.

Scooped up a new Huawei this morning for 270. Almost picked up an apple watch from target if they would have given me the gift card on top of the price match but no dice
