I'd go V10 and 6p
might try out that v10, still not 100% ready to leave sd cards, but this moto x aint cutting it.

**** is too much of a hassle to save files to the sd card

lg v10 has an sd slot

And an IR Blaster so you can control TVs and stuff :hat

The only real downside is that the DAC only works for music saved to the device and the phone has a weak single speaker. The speaker is downright terrible.

Their goal with Hangouts was a unified communication platform that tied Hangouts into G+, Wave (when they originally announced their plans, this was still a thing,) SMS, alladat. Basically a single hub that you can use all of Google's communication tools in.

I spoke about it a little bit earlier in this thread, but Google is in a catch 22 scenario. They want to do things to unify the Android experience, but they can't force the issue because other companies might see it as an anti-competitive gesture. They know and understand the value of a closed source distribution model like Apple has, but they can't make closed source moves like pushing a defacto Android messenger for all android devices because that would open them up to litigation from software companies and OEMs.

This is one of the issues with open source development for large corporations like Google. They HAVE to ensure they don't step on any toes, otherwise they get sued.

This man knows business strategy.

it does make sense but really? a unified messaging application would have apple giving them the legal business really? there has to be a way...

the fact that i can't hit the hangouts extension in chrome and text my peoples is absurd at this point. i hate how apple is the only one with this ecosystem setup, where u can call, answer, text all your contacts easily via a mac. granted its osx, so they built in that kind of integration, but i figured i'd get the something similar from google apps or something.

hangouts imo is slow as balls, and maybe thats cuz im running a rom, but i've resorted to messenger. textra fast as ****, but im cheap ain't trying to pay a dollar lol. maybe down the road..

Can't you send texts through the Pushbullet extension on Chrome? I used to use it with Textra and the combo worked beautifully. Although I use iMessages now, the majority of my friends have androids so the feature isn't even used by me most of the time

Maybe it's just me, but is anyone else confused with google's way of going about the whole selling of the 6p. They put out, according to marques and other reviewers, the best smartphone of the year, yet 2 months into it's lifespan they already discounted it $50 when it is a good deal as a flagship phone compared to the samsung, LG and iphone flagships and also are now selling it in Best buys when they adamantly stated it would only be available through them and Huawei for the US. I don't know, just feels a little off putting to me that I had to go through hoops (checking constantly every day for weeks) to try and get one before it sold out just 2-3 weeks ago only for it to go on sale and be available very easily now as well as in a B&M store in the US. If I knew this was all gonna happen I would've gladly waited to buy it at Best Buy with all my built up rewards points and got to possibly check it out in person first before I made my purchase. That being said, I love the phone it's just that I would've happily waited 2 more weeks to save $50 without having to hawk their page to get one before they sold out again. Their method to it doesn't make sense to me.

Happens all the time b. You should always expect for there to be discounts down the road. It might happen in the first month, it might happen after 3 months.

p.s. just enjoy your device.

True, I just feel like it's dumb of them to do it so soon and to change the stance on their release of the phone about online only in the US. It's not like they're struggling to move the phone or it was a bust. Doesn't make sense to me. Putting a product on sale so soon makes the general public feel like the product must be inferior or buggy. Just my thoughts on it though, my opinion doesn't matter to them :lol

Just guessing, but this move is just a business strategy and not done to piss off early adopters.

First phase is to get all of the fanboys excited about the device and make the purchase at MSRP. Once the hype dwindles down & sales start to slow, they introduce this discount to get the folks who were on the fence to finally jump ship.

The timing of the discount might involve the fact that Samsung might be announcing/releasing the S7 with a much better SoC in the next 2 months. Some of the folks who were on the fence might then wait for the S7 instead since it would already be 1 generation ahead of the 6P.

My joint has a iPhone and can't send or receive MMS :|
I was having trouble with sending gifs from my oneplusone with the built in messaging app. So would have to rely on using my iphone. Once I got the 6p though, I've been able to send gifs to people with iphones with ease.

What messaging app?

I haven't tried to send a gif in a while but I remember when I used to try it would only be a pic and not a gif

The built in messenger app on the 6p. If the messenger that your device uses doesn't support sending gifs, then download and use textra.

Not that it matters much, but why couldn't they just make the same emojis for both android and iOS. :{

Ever since I updated my moto x pure to 6.0 the phone has slowed down. My data goes in and out at certain moments for no reason at all. It'll tell me I have full bars of LTE bug nothing works. Where I use to have service its now weak service. I have to reboot my phone everytime this happens

Along with getting the phone first, early adopters also got the $50 Google Play credit.

Anyone who has paid attention to the Nexus line knew the phone would be in stock after the initial rush, just like most every other phone.

And if you paid attention to the 5X discounts around Black Friday, you may have had a feeling that a 6P discount was coming...I know I did.

Not sure why you're so surprised and hurt to be honest

I'm a big believer in not being an early adopter, anyone in here who bought an early Xbox 360 knows what I'm talking about :{

I let the reviews and impressions come out before I make the decision to buy

I've hd the 6Edge for a while now, and I was watching the Youtube React Channel about the Oculus Rift

And that morning I decided to get the Samsung Gear VR. Ran to Best Buy and copped.

I'm not a techie but I really like it. If you have a compatible phone, it only make sense to get it for $99. Absolutely worth it at that price point.

This is the 2nd generation?? Only had it for a week but I can only imagine how much better this is going to get with future iterations.

I'm not a gamer but I'm gonna cop some games just for the experience.

PS: This was the video I watched. I love this channel for some reason

Is a certified pre-owned Nexus 6 for $300-$350 a good deal? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the phone and don't know if it's worth it to jump on it, especially since I'd have to wait and buy it in online.
