Messenger >>>> Hangouts SMS

Really? I've never had problems with hangouts and messenger was awful for me. I just downloaded Textra yesterday when I heard that hangouts my not continue to have sms.

Only problem with Hangouts are the terrible emojis(resolved by installing emoji switcher), inability to send video and the fact that your chats are replicated on the PC. Other than that, its a damn near perfect messenger

Finally found a photo-cut-paste app that works similar to s note, now i can sell this note 4. If you guys have any other recommendations for that type of app, let me know.

So I finally got around to hooking up my NP with kodi... I hooked up the Spinz TV with it and it works like a beauty

Only negative is the remote it comes with but I downloaded "Yatse" as a replacement controller on my phone and it works like a beauty... Makes things a lot more easier to access

Their goal with Hangouts was a unified communication platform that tied Hangouts into G+, Wave (when they originally announced their plans, this was still a thing,) SMS, alladat. Basically a single hub that you can use all of Google's communication tools in.

I spoke about it a little bit earlier in this thread, but Google is in a catch 22 scenario. They want to do things to unify the Android experience, but they can't force the issue because other companies might see it as an anti-competitive gesture. They know and understand the value of a closed source distribution model like Apple has, but they can't make closed source moves like pushing a defacto Android messenger for all android devices because that would open them up to litigation from software companies and OEMs.

This is one of the issues with open source development for large corporations like Google. They HAVE to ensure they don't step on any toes, otherwise they get sued.

Huawei Smartwatch or Moto 360 are probably the best options out.

Though, you might want to consider a LG G Watch R or a 1st gen Moto 360. If your dad is happy with the S3, the 1st gen 360 or G watch should be more than enough.

Nah, I dunno squat. Just a stan. :D

Took your advice yeah yeah and checked out the V10.
Phone is nice but seemed basic, and that might be in large part to my lack of android knowledge.
But then when AT&T dropped the BOGO for Samsung, it was an even easier choice.
Ordered my wife the S6 Edge and I got the S6 Edge Plus.
AT&T is going to credit my account each month to offset the monthly charge for the edge plus.
Two new phones and a lower bill, so I can't complain.
Appreciate the feedback you guys provided :Nthat

The remote on my smart tv sucks too, I use my phone now to control the smart features

ordered the moto x pure and it got here thursday...

phone kinda stinks, bout to return it and grab the nexus

thats what I get for trying to be cheap

Any reason not to be swap out this Nexus 5 for S6? Think I may pick up the Gear S2 as well. Reviews seem fine for this phone?

I wouldn't get a S6, the battery life is pretty weak on it. Coming from a Nexus 5 it might be better but with choices like the Moto X Pure and Nexus 6p that are both reasonably priced a S6 doesn't make a lot of sense u less you like the phone a lot

Well there's an unlocked S6 deal going on for $400 so thought maybe it'd be worth getting.

Dude had an entire store of phones on that table.
AT&T for whatever reason took 24hrs to ship my phone but shipped my wife's phone same day literally 3hrs after I placed the order, and FedEx delivered the next day.
On the other hand, I have to wait on UPS to deliver mine next week :{

Note 5 definitely deserves the praise it's getting. Screen is ridiculously beautiful. It probably spoiled my experience with the 6p
