nothin wrong with refurbished phones fam. custom ringtones and text alerts basically come standard on androids.

In your case I'd buy a refurbished HTC Inspire. I got one and I love it. The only problem is the battery life is bad. You could easily download JuiceDefender and get a car adapter though.

You must be on Verizon, they blocked tethering apps from market so now you have to side-load them!
