Well at least he kept it a 100 about the tech industry biased for the iPhone :lol ......but we already knew that...

I do think however the very existence of the iPhone drives innovation. Every manufacturer is trying to stay one step ahead of them. Look at Samsung a company that for years copied Apple and now they finally made a phone ( S6/ edge +) that is generally has better review's than the iPhone 6

i actually like the size 5.0... i dont like that smart phones are getting bigger its like starting to have bricks = zach morris phone... the m9 would of been better if the camera was on par with samsung and i agree screen could of been better but still not bad as it is...

Yea I feel you on that. I feel like 5.0 is the sweet spot for phone screen size...

Still small enough for one handed use but still a nice size screen for media

To me, anything between 5.0-5.7 is a good screen size as long as the bezels aren't enormous. Only popular phone I can think of that is simply too big is the Nexus 6. On the flip side, an iPhone 6 (4.7in) is way to small for me to use

Screen size is relative to your use of your phone in my opinion. If you are barely on your phone, you can get away w/ a smaller screen but if it's your daily tool, you'd be more inclined to have a bigger screen. I believe 5.2-5.6 is a happy medium

Lowest id go is 5.5

But one thing that always bothered me was making the perfect smart phone

It seems like every phone that comes out always has 1 thing wrong with it. Like the note 4 I had was amazing. Just the touchwiz bs making the recent apps list lag

Or the moto x pure. Wish they went with a bigger battery

The moto x play has a huge battery but its too small for me

Nexus 6 would have been copped but the camera sucks but the battery got better with some updates

S6 has bad battery

Note 5 apparently has some ram issues from what I hear

I switch phones like crazy (on my 5th android since December 2013) and im hoping some company puts out a good looking phone with

Great camera
Big or just a good battery
5.5 or 5.7 inches for the screen
Stock or near stock Android like motorola

Had big and small..I prefer the smaller phones for day to day use. The close to 5 the better personally

^^^True that, the Moto X is almost that phone but the battery leaves a lot to be desired.

That is it. Can we please get a stock android phone that consistently fires on all cylinders? I struggle with these trade offs :lol :x

Thats the problem with phones now a days theres always that 1 thing that is missing but another phone has its annoying....htc m9 has a sd card slot but the cam sucks, galaxy s6 great camera but no sd card and iphone doesnt have flash

Should start making phones like they used to do w/ the custom computers. Motorola is kinda like that w/ the Moto X series, expand on that to allow for selection of camera and battery

Moto isn't like that at all. The customization is only for looks. Custom made-to-order phones would drive costs sky-high.

I still think the 6+ is the best all-around phone 8o

It may be marginal to some, but still.

It just sucks how much they charge you for storage :x

But the fact that they have so much control over iOS and release one phone a year actually is beneficial IMO

Android and that product cannibalism :x

We got manufacturers competing with their own products too often

Two completely different approaches to developing and distributing cell phones. And not to mention the carriers, and google itself. yikes

You get a Note, you have no clue what the joint will be like in a year :lol

For all the problems I have and complain about with Sammy, I have the exact same lag and crashing issues with iPhones after awhile.

Their product reliability over Android is pure myth.

When talking about how a phone will perform 2 years after purchase, or even a year, I would take a 6+ over a Note 4 every time. And so on and so forth. At least there is a certain level of predictability. At least the phone will be updated properly. AT LEAST :lol. I know that each phone has its share of issues but hell naw b :lol

Of course this is my opinion.

My point is is that I think Android is an excellent product, just too many intermediaries to consistently get what we want

Please just give me a nexus that has everything. PLEASE

I think the problem with Android is the choice. Yes, it's obviously a good thing, but it allows you to say "I wish we had a single phone that had every single best feature from 5 different manufactures" it's just not happening.

We're spoiled with choice. Even if we have a phone with great everything, some phone will do a feature better. If the new Nexus has a great camera, well it still won't be better than Samsung or LG. If a new phone has a great screen, the Note will still be better.

And if we got this greatest phone ever, it would probably cost 800 dollars and that's another complaint.

We will always find something that could be improved, we're spoiled as consumers. I have no problem making a compromise, it's just part of being a consumer. Find what you want and need from a product and pick the best one.

I feel you on the choice.  I just think that at this point, Google should atleast set some standards that a device has to meet to be able to run Android with the Google Services.  Minimum battery endurance, performance tests,  maximum bloat, etc.

As for the perfect device, honestly I think it can be done.  And i'd pay the 800 for that device.

Shoot give me a device with Samsung or LG Screen Quality + HTC's Level of Software Optimization + Samsung Camera Quality + Note Battery Life , HTC/Samsung(as of the S6) hardware design, and i'd pay whatever they ask
