I never used RAW formatting, but I believe it does not have a RAW editor. It does save two copies of the photo though, one RAW and one post processed. I don't think the LG G4 or the Samsung GS6 takes pictures that are leaps and bounds above the other, they're both at top of android and 1A 1B in rankings.

I think the only thing that really differentiates the LG G4 and Samsung is that the LG has removable battery and storage. Also, if you get the G4 in July, they are running a promo that gives away a free battery, charging cradle, and a leather back.

Speaking of quality pictures, how is the LG G4's camera? I've been browsing and I see that it can shoot RAW format, but does it have a native RAW editor? I enjoy shooting with a DSLR and editing in Lightroom, but if I'm going to need to use my laptop to edit pics from the G4, I don't really see the point.

Also considering the S6, but I'm leaning towards G4 because of the removable battery/expandable storage.
Personally I haven't used the RAW format on the G4.  I do like the manual controls however they do take some time to understand and there is nothing quick about setting up your shots. The images themselves are clean and crisp but its still a camera phone.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I'll probably mainly shoot jpeg, but it's nice to know I have the RAW option. Also, didn't know about that deal; thanks for the heads up. Though it sucks that the colors for the free leather back aren't the most appealing.

Trying 5.1.1 on the s6.. we shall see if it improved battery life like people have claimed.

Finally caved and bought a watch. Couldn't pass up the 360 for the price, esp since I had some BestBuy gift cards.

There's hope my s6 brahs. Battery got dew dew by the day on 5.0.2..so i went going and jumped to 5.1.1.I can say the battery life is much improved. Phone would have been damb near dead with 2 1/2 hours ost prior to the jump.

anybody know of any legit unlocking sites? I copped the Samsung Gear S on craigslist for super cheap but it's locked to AT&T. I'm trying to use it for T-Mobile.

Removable battery FTW. I fried my battery today by plugging into a bad USB outlet, and went to T Mobile and the lady just handed me a Note 4 battery out of another phone

. I was getting ready to turn my back on this phone and then one of the reasons I even chose this phone came through in the clutch.

I panicked and factory reset my phone when it wasnt charging and also broke my cord trying to bend it

. So now I'm back on Kit Kat and I dont think I'm jumping back to lollipop. My battery life was no different but Xposed modules were hit or miss on 5.0 TouchWiz.

I'm gonna try a CM build on my note for a bit and see how it goes. I'll miss my S Pen but TouchWiz

Well its worse than I imagined. The charging port on my Note 4 is fried. The weird thing was that the T Mobile rep was able to get it to charge inside the store using their cord, but my OEM cord is broken, I dont even have it anymore so even if that was the case I couldnt do anything about it.

I ordered a replacement but it wont be here until the 21st and it seems like every store is out of loaner phones.

Anyone had this happen to them before? Thoughts?

I've had my Note 4 since the New Year, and I use it pretty extensively everyday. I can report that using the same battery that came with it that my battery life is still awesome.

This phone can still be relevant almost 2 years later. I think i may keep it anither 1 or 2 to be honest.

Well my phone started charging again but I'm not even gonna risk keep it. Swapping it out with the replacement device I'm getting from T-Mobile. Gonna lose my Screen protector though

Why is it so hard to find a OEM cable by itself? Does it even matter? Am I good with third party cords?

The extra battery and charging cradle are pretty clutch when you know you're gonna be out/away from a charger all day. The cradle is a little larger than a pack up gum, just charge up both before you leave and you're good till at least the next day.

Can this only be done through root or is 5.1.1 out already??

Just made out like a bandit and sold my nexus 5 for $250 before the value tanked. Altogether my nexus 6 cost me $190 :smokin

AKO I think only through root for now.

King I should have screenshotted but I was a little over 5hrs before I threw it on the charger with only a few percent left. It's gotten over 4 everyday since I've done it. It changes by what I do obviously. If I'm just browsing and texting it's coo..videos or streams it will go down quicker of course. I'm cool on 5.1.1 hopefully it stays this way :lol

As long as I don't have to charge it mid day I'm satisfied.
