I'm still trying to get my head around what this means. Can you explain is simple language?

What it means is that we can flash custom firmware like cyanogenmod.

You can also flash custom kernels and system apps (for example HTCs blinkfeed launcher)

Just enables more customizing and you can make the phone like a nexus(but with more customization)

Think I'll be giving CM a try soon.

I seem to be getting inconsistent performance with greenify. Not sure why.

hey guys! I'm eligible for an upgrade in less than a month (i'm on verizon). I'm pretty sure I have it narrowed down between a G3 and a oneM8. Though I was hoping you guys could give me more suggestions or if I should wait it out for something coming out in the near future?

oh yeah, forgot to mention, not doing samsung again, they can eat a ****

If you haven't ever had a Note then give the Note 4 a try. I am not a huge fan of Samsung either but the Note series is undeniably good.

IMO it wouldn't be wise to get a G3 or M8 over it if you are looking for a phone this month. But if you really hate Samsung then I would probably go with the M8.

But, if I personally hated Samsung I would go with the Nexus 6 or Z3 over the M8 or G3.

The surprisingly sleek and gorgeous Sharp Aquos Crystal  is now available for purchase on Boost Mobile, and Sprint  Prepaid at Best Buy retail stores. Its screen will make you squint to see the edges, as it has what is definitely one of the thinnest bezels of any phone on the market.

Announced this past August, the Sharp Aquos Crystal will be available for a comparatively cheap $149.99 from Sprint’s Boost Mobile brand and Sprint Prepaid through Best Buy. Getting the new smartphone at Sprint will take a bit longer, however. You’ll have to wait until Friday, October 17th, but you can get it for $0 down and pay it off at $10 per month over the next 24 months.

The specs of the new Sharp Aquos Crystal include a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. It runs on Android’s 4.4.2 KitKat, has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.2-megapixel camera on the front, as well as a 2,040 mAh battery.

Sure, the Sharp Aquos Crystal doesn’t have the showstopping specs of other smartphones on the market, but for the price and look of the phone, it doesn’t have to. You can buy the phone now through Boost Mobile, and Sprint Prepaid (Best Buy).

If you want to wait to get it on a Sprint postpaid plan, you can pick it up starting October 17th.

Gorgeous isn't the word I would use to describe that phone. Incredibly thin bezels though. Wouldn't using a case cut part of it off?

Considering my N5 screen is cracked I'm tempted to get that but that N6 is near

My S3 of 2 years ago had better specs.

Sure the device has no bezel on 3 sides but that chin on it is funky.

If real beauty is on the inside then this phone is the stank ****** that works the corner.

Anyone who's on Cyanogen for the N5, when you text, does your phone screen power off and then you have to do a hard reset?

question:

Anybody using a stock G3 have trouble with phone calls? My dad recently got one and sometimes when he calls out, the person on the other end can't hear him, but when somebody calls in to him there are no problems...
