got a question, can I still flash a custom rom even if I don't get the s-off? I used the firewater method, I did the command prompt stuff and in the end I got the "whelp... doesn't work.. etc".
I'm sure my bootloader is unlocked, just couldn't get s-off. help
Yeah man. It's crazy easy to root the N5. 1st thing I did when I got mine. I'm not tech expert either. Now get Xposed Installer to do more ish with your phone.Crazy ****... Just rooted my N5 in 20 seconds from my phone

BTW: For N5 users, try out the Unbounce Xposed app. You need to be rooted and have Xposed though. It lets you control how often your phone wakes up as well as the alarms. Been using it for about 2 weeks and I've consistently been getting 3.5-4hrs OST. I could live with this phone now and skip this year's Nexus. I even donated to the guy and I rarely do that

Fast, customizable, simple... Give it a try

Why would you bother, just add $40 and you have 3x the battery life and a free shock cover and screen protector
^ It'll be on T-mobile. The announcement today is for a Verzion variant. It doesn't even have the front facing speakers

slab_diaz looks like you're using a GSM version so ignore those carrier sections.
Stick with these two sections.

Read up on each rom's features. Try them all out. See what you like. Happy flashing!
I have an M7, not a fan of sense, so currently using a Cyanogen rom. I'm not sure if you use xposed, so keep mind Xposed is kinda funky when used with custom roms.
ok successfully flashed a custom rom
thanks nawz and tetsu
still trying to figure out stuff though

Are all those aosp Roms compatible with Sprint? I've been trying to find a cm11 based Rom but I haven't found anything.
