Wish someone would of told me that before I used the RUU, I knew I would loose root but didn't know unrevoked3 wouldn't work
You don't run the very recent ruu, you have to run the one you think that has been rooted. If that doesn't work, you'll have to do a manual root.

Doing all these customizations is optional, you don't have to do the things we do. However, Owning a Android device even if your simple user, you'll be doing more than you can with a aging blackberry os and weak hardware. This thread is full of people who can help you along the way, and if your going with t-mobile i'll be looking a the G2.
