T-mobile is truly setting themselves apart from the major carriers who charge for activation fees, contracts, overpriced services, limiting data usage. Its a bold move and I like it. If T-mobile "uncarrier" strategy is successful and people start moving away from the big 3, change will be inevitable in the way we buy phones.

I'll always buy off-contract though. #aintgottimeforthat contract this contract that.

Yeah, i'm going to look into t-mobile when my Verizon contract is up. VZW is getting too slick with what they provide and their prices. I wanted to downgrade my data plan from 1GB to half a GB since I hardly use data anymore. Find out they no longer offer .5GB and only .3GB. That's some bs :{.

I will NOT go back to T-mobile. Service was horrible

There is not point in having a smart phone if you can't even get internet access, no matter how great the plan is

I've had tmo since the early 2000's, never any problems when in a major metro area... BuFu is another story.

Major cities are excellent but for me, I go to school in the middle of nowhere (State College, PA). Campus is like a damn cellar

Verizon dropped the ball by not including youtube /Facebook /maps etc in the multi window feature.

gonna get a new phone in june. torn between the S4 and the One. One is so clean looking :hat

why do people buy phones without the contract? ie. if i wanted an unlocked Note 2... instead of paying upfront for it ($700), i could get buy it for 200 bucks (on contract via the 'old' T-mobile) and then just pay the ETF ($200). am i missing something?

Those of you discussing T-mobile need to realize that unless you pay in full the price of the new phone, you are essentially still in "contract" with the phone payments because should you stop paying the phone, i would assume would be blacklisted. (im assuming there are ways around that, but i'm just saying)

ETF is way higher than $200, don't know exactly how much but it's not $200.

note 2 from tmobile is $300 since cancelling within the first month voids the mail in rebate

if you cancel after 14 days its $300+tax + $200 etf + 36 activation fee + pro rated service fee

I got my note 2 brand new for $530 on CL with a clean IMEI and now im using it on the $30 prepaid plan

long run it saves me money...I still have my old htc evo 4g lte to resell so that pays for part of the note 2 purchase as well

$350 ETF for smart phones now. I'd still rather buy it out. If you buy a carrier locked phone and pay the ETF you still have to pay the bill and you lose your number.

i like stock android and everything but idk man sometimes i miss some of the touchwiz stuff. Plus i dont like how it messes with your storage, making a bunch of copies of your internal SD card.

No Cuz if you pay off the phone early you don't have to wait 2 years to cancel your line b.
