I was until I read that the Note 2 and S3 are getting the same software updates. I'm leaning towards Note 2 but I could see why people would buy the S4, those specs are pretty nice and that screen is impressive. So, who's all considering getting the S4?
Im considering. I wanted to stay with nexus (currently use galaxy nexus) but verizon didnt get the nexus 4. Ill just buy it outright and bypass that contract extension. So, who's all considering getting the S4?
dudes must be clutz if their arguement is to hating non plastic devices is because it will break. LOL. If I`m paying over 100 for something It needs to feel premium. I notice every year every review states the Galaxy doesnt feel like a premium device. the One could be God like once a root comes out where you can install a vanilla rom.
I Will say I love what Motorola is about to do with the build your own phone thing, as long as it doesnt create an issue in the sense of certain devices getting updates before another because of processor or something, but I dont see how this will even be a good thing for them economically if they are gonna eat the cost.
I think some fail to realize that alot of people are on 2 yr contracts. So Samsung will be getting alot of people upgrading from 2 year old phones which will be a major upgrade for them.
There is no need to reinvent the wheel every year when you are king of the hill.

I'm going back and forth between what my next phone will be. Earlier it was the HTC One, but now I think I'm going S4 OR at least hold out with my S3 until the Note 3 releases. But technically I aint supposed to be buying anything except Apple.[/COLOR]
i dont get why people say they aint gonna use this app, or we dont need it... at least a company is giving it to you.. 1)bigger screen 2)bigger battery 3)better camera 4)better processor.? is that not good?.. what do you guys complain about? i dont need a sunroof in my car?.. that is way too much food? "i cant believe that gave me a extra pair of laces?"..
So a product needs to "feel premium" even if it adds no functionality and possibly makes the product LESS durable?
That sounds like women logic.
I think the ecosystem plays a HUGE roll and will forever. Developers simply build for iPhone first, make great looking apps and they pretty much work flawlessly. It also helps that the hardware your software is running on was made specificly for it and it flows effortlessly.and why is the iphone 5 the standard? when the iphone 5 came out it couldnt beat the s3 or ANYTHING since then...why is it still the standard?
please tell me the last 10 pairs of J's you bought.. matter fact the last pair of kicks...So a product needs to "feel premium" even if it adds no functionality and possibly makes the product LESS durable?

I dont drop my phone every 5 seconds, I want something that looks good. What functionality does anything other than screen size does hardware add? Functionality is software based. If I`m spending hundreds on something I want something that feels like its worth that much.

A underpowered and smaller battery iPhone 5 is just as fast if not faster than today top Android handsets and with no lag. Phones like the 1GB One X, 2BG S3 etc. of ram, still have hiccups and will buckle at times. As Android users, you know lag is going to happen no matter how much ram or butter Google puts into the OS.
It's like if you buy a Google made phone, you get the benefits of constant - first updates, but the features are limited or underpowered or you can buy a third party android phone with an abundance of features, options and power, but slow updates and a skin that taxes the OS.

I prefer HTC hardware design but their Sense UI is garbage plus they slow as hell with updates. If HTC releases a Note competitor I may give it a try but knowing HTC they will skimp on the battery.
Agreed. Sense is absolutely horrible.
Verizon and HTC's "flagship" phone about two years ago just got official ICS last month? Even though I think that's just on Verizon
Couple that with piss poor battery life just all around faultiness .. I would've thrown it away had I not been on contract and for the great work of the dev community, albeit it's incredibly small.
I would love to support HTC, but after this experience, I don't know anymore ...
you never bought the last shots when they first retroed?.. peple really think AM90 are worth $110 or some of these crap J's that have been releasing are worth the money? they dont feel premium for the price and i bet some of the kicks you bought dont either..please tell me the last 10 pairs of J's you bought.. matter fact the last pair of kicks...
