^^^^Pretty Much. San Andreas had controversy surrounding it, but it had nothing to do with race. Plus, if anybody had any idea what the early 90's was
about, they'd know it was directly based on that time period. Everything was true about it, and it was just overall a great game. The Deux Ex thing just
seemed blatantly ignorant and random.

Videogames are kinda lagging behind in terms of cultural sensitivity, basically videogames are a years behind cinema in this regard. There was a time in hollywood were black people were typecast as goons, drug dealers, prostitutes etc and were never intelligent/ positive protagonists. A lot of improvement has been made since the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc Videogames are still in its infancy in terms of how they portray minorities, and it doesn't help that a lot of people who develop videogames are actually foreign (eg Japanese) and may not have a very accurate perception of black people due to lack of interaction or what they see in the media-

I was reading this thread at work earlier, I finally saw the clip and yes it is racist. Method Man put it succinctly earlier. I just think it's a shame that younger members on here truly believe we are in a post racist society. We are far from it, and honestly, in America, we will never achieve that goal. GTA SA was set during the early 90's. Deus Ex is set in the year 2027 in 4 cities Detroit, Shanghai, Montreal and Singapore. 
How does this character even make since for the time period the game is set in? Why is she talking like that? Because she is homeless?
